Late na natapos ang despedida party nina tito Albert. We were the few who left last.
I hugged tito Albert and then tita Issa.
"Mamimiss ko kayo. Email mo ko tito Albert ha? And send regards to everybody."
"Dont be a stranger young lady! And you young man, take care of her." Tito Albert said in a forceful voice. Hes smiling but I could sense his seriousness.
"Will do Tito. I love her too much not to."
And we left.
We were already inside the car when Mr. Coffee kissed my cheek.
"Jasmine, gusto mo na ba umuwi?"
"San mo gusto pumunta? Its almost 2 am na ah."
"Sa apartment ko. Oh! Before you react, let me explain. May gusto kasi akong ipakita sayo. You just have to trust me."
It took me a few moment to reply. He looked nervous at the thought that Id say no. And to be honest, I do want to say no because of so many moral reasons, hindi pa nga kami diba? But my curiosity is getting the best of me. Why not diba? Hindi naman rapist tong si Mr. Coffee. Mahilig lang manghalik.
"Ano ba yung papakita mo ng 2am in the morning."
"Actually hindi naman 2am. Actually mya-mya pa pero paghinatid kita sa inyo, baka hindi ka na magising pagsusunduin ulit kita. Basta. Trust me please?"
Kumunot ang noo ko.
"Mamaya pa?"
"Oo nga. Surprise. Do you trust me?"
"Oo naman. Haaaay, as if naman tatanggi ako sayo. Sige na. Tara na sa apartment mo."
"Yes!"
Napangiti na lang ako sa kanya.
When we finally arrived at Mr. Coffees apartment, Im almost half asleep sa pagod at antok. It was a long day and very emotional kaya siguro I felt drain.
"Jasmine, nandito na tayo." Tinapik ako ni Mr. Coffee. Akala siguro nya nakatulog ako.
"Im awake. Pinikit ko lang saglit mga mata ko."
Pagkapatay ng makina ng kotse, bumaba na si Mr. Coffee para pagbuksan ako ng pinto. Impressive ang apartment nya. Two-storey ito, more like a town house than apartment.
"Mag-isa ka lang dito?"
"During day time, nandito si Jose. Sya nag-aasikaso lahat. Sa gabi, umuuwi sya sa family nya."
