EDIT: Hello new reader! I apologise for this first chapter because I've noticed that this chapter got more than 400 views but then the second chapter gets half the amount of views. And after reading this chapter numerous amount of times I cringe because it's, let's say, not the best start to a story. And this was my first time writing on Wattpad. So please keep reading because trust me, my writing does improve as the story goes along!
I decided not to edit this chapter, or the whole book for that matter, because people have read it anyway, and maybe I will after i finish writing the whole novel or if I get a chance to publish it (omg that would be my dream!)
Anyway, thank you for clicking on this story and reading! And please keep reading! It would be greatly appreciated because I'm so determined to writing my first book. -Shani

Abrielle's POV
I didn't wake up to a very good start.
I literally woke up to the sound of my little brother Sam, screaming that he found his fish dead in the morning. I was so close to beating him up. But at the same time, It was kind of sad because he's had that fish for 4 years, I didn't even know goldfish could live that long. And he named it Fred. How cute.
I open the pantry to find some cereal. There's none. I specifically instructed to buy me some Milo flakes. But did she listen? No.The only thing that's there is a box of breakfast biscuits. So, the pig I am, grabbed about 4 packets of breakfast biscuits and shoved two of them in my bag.
While I'm munching on the other two packets, my mum marchers in the room with a bottle in her hand. "Hey mum! why didn't you buy me cereal?" I ask.
Mum interrupts me. "Never mind that Abrielle! Why haven't you closed the anti-pimple cream from last night! This is now the 10th time!"
"Whoops. Sorry." I roll my eyes and look at my phone.
"You never listen to me!" She yells and leaves the room. Seriously mum? You're shouting at me for leaving a bottle open? It's not my fault I need to put anti-pimple cream to prevent my face from getting serious acne! The struggle of not having white parents (I'm Middle-Eastern by the way).
I walk to school quickly, hoping it won't rain on me because I stupidly forgot an umbrella. It's supposed to be heavy showers today and i do not want to get wet. I hate it when it rains. The cold water hitting your clothes and skin is a dreadful feeling to me. I own about 5 umbrellas. Hey, don't make fun of me the next time you're drenched.
It's the first day of year 9. I'm so dreading to find out who's going to be in my class this year. Last year my English teacher Mrs Mahjer warned my friends and I that we would not be in the same class next year because we talk too much. Like excuuuuuuuse me miss???!!! You should be talking to the other troublesome kids in the class! Like Bradley Geyer. He received a Saturday detention from you! I haven't even gotten a single normal detention in my life! I really hate teachers.
When I arrive to my locker I see my friends, Christina, Olivia and Nikki. They run up to me. "Oh my god Abrielle! Did you see the form classes? We're in the same class!" Christina smiles.
"OMG really?" I gasp. I forgot. Last year the teachers told us our new classes will be pasted on the front of the year 8 building.
Olivia grins, laughing a little."Yes! I am actually so happy!"
"I know right! Beat that Mrs Mahjer!" Nikki says proud.
We gleefully skip to class. I am so glad we're all in the same class! Nothing can make me sad now. Once we arrive at our new form room we sit down, right at the back. The only other people in the classroom besides us is Daniel Ferry and Xavier Jones. I don't really mind them, they don't really talk much, mostly because they read manga all the time and are super nerds. I don't really think they're going to affect me being in my class. But, I think they're gay for each other, because on the last day they were licking the same Christmas candy cane, which was really gross, but whatever.
10 minutes later the form bell finally rings. Nikki faces me and starts going on a rant. "OMG Abrielle! You know what my sister did today? She hid my school bag behind the couch! I was so annoyed at her I just want to squeeze her little neck so her head pops out!"
I sort of cut her off. "Nikki don't worry. I know the feeling. I have a little brother remember-" I stop talking because someone walks into the room. Someone that purposely chopped off half of my ponytail in 2nd grade and thrown about 500 little balls of paper at me in year 6. Someone very particular that I hate with all my heart. The fear of realisation creeps in. My worst, biggest enemy, Tyler Grayson is in my class.
