Abrielle's POV

Camp seems to be going better than I expected. Last night was the most fun I've had in a long time. It felt thrilling breaking the rules, although we just ditched some lame quiz night. My bond with Tyler is becoming closer and closer by the moment. My heart races every time he gives me that wide smile. I've realised that this friendship group, the result of Nikki and Brian being together, isn't such a bad thing to me any more.

The next day after dinner, I walk back to my cabin with Nikki, Christina and Olivia. "Hey guys what should we do for our free time?" Christina asks.

"I dunno, why don't we hangout with the guys?" I mention. I'm too afraid to admit it but I kinda want to spend more time with Tyler. It's like I have this sudden urge to see him all the time.

"Nah, they're gonna have a guy's party in their cabin, no girls allowed apparently." Nikki sighs. She must have been so sad to hear that news, I think.

We finally decide that we'll just hang out by ourselves. Since no other girls are in the cabin, we talk freely about, you've guessed it, guys. I'm not really the person to talk about boyfriends, love, sex (I'm not even old enough to be doing it), stuff like that. But I can go crazy over a guy, and quite possibly rant about him for days.

"Oh my god Brian did the cutest thing today!" Nikki flicks her hair and bats her eyelashes.

"Hmm, let me guess, he held the door for you?" Olivia rolls her eyes.

She throws a pillow at her face. "Shut up! He did something really nice!"

"Uh, okay, What did he do this time?" Olivia groans as she throws the pillow back at Nikki.

"Well, when we were walking-" Nikki gets cut off by a loud knock on the door.  "Come in!" Christina shouts. The door opens slightly while a familiar figure tip toes in. My eyes nearly popped out of my sockets. Tyler?!

"Um, hey guys, Abrielle, could I borrow you for a while?" He says nervously.

The others give me the 'huh huh' look. "Yeah, I'm coming." I blush hard and get up from my bed. I quickly put on my shoes and race to the door. "See you guys!" I wave back and close the door behind me.

Tyler gives me a bright smile which makes my heart skip a beat. "Hey, this might sound a bit weird and stuff, but the sunset's really soon, do you want to watch it with me? On the beach?"

Oh my god, he wants to watch the sunset with me? Only me?! That sounds really romantic, I felt uncomfortable about going with him, but hey, this might be really fun. "Okay, but wouldn't we get caught?"

"We'll be extra sneaky. C'mon! It'll be fun." He winks.

"All right, let's go." I giggle. He takes my hand and walks fast to the board walk that leads to the beach. His hand feels so soft and strong, I could hold it forever. Jesus I sound so corny. And I don't think he'll like that very much.

Surprisingly, no one catches us running down to the beach, I thought we would be dead by now. After we run down the board walk we arrive at the seaside. He takes me to a high cliff. "Let's watch it here." Tyler says as he starts climbing on to the rocks. Without question I begin climbing the rocks too.

Once we get to the top, Tyler pulls me up and sits on the cliff. I sit beside him, my legs dangling off the end. "Isn't this nice?" He grins. I can't respond, I'm too infatuated by the sky. Pink and orange streaks scatter the horizon. The rays of the sun shine through the clouds and reflect on the calm sea. The scenery is so beautiful.

I look back at Tyler and my mouth nearly drops. The way the reflection of the sun hits his face is so breathtaking. His blue eyes turn into mirrors and every part of his face looks so contoured with a mix of shadows and light. I could feel the blood rush to my cheeks, hoping he wouldn't notice. He clears his throat softly. "Hey, um, you okay...baby girl?"

I snap out of the moment. "Did you just say that to get my attention?"

He throws his head back in laughter. "Well, kinda, it's my nickname for you."

The memories start flowing in about that time I saw him at his little sister's birthday party. Oh my god I almost forgot about that! That's when he supposedly called me baby girl 'accidentally'. "Didn't you call me that at your little sister's party?"

"Oh my god I remember that..." he goes silent for a while, looking up and smiling. "But could I still call you that anyway?"

"But why? It sounds kind of...kinky."

"Kinky? Ha ha ha I think it's cute, it suits you."

"Cute?" I question.

"Um, I meant something else," He looks away embarrassed.I don't even know what to feel at this moment.

We both remain silent, the tension feels so awkward. The sun starts disappearing as it's slowly hiding behind the horizon. The colours of the sky slowly turn darker. I look at Tyler while he looks at me. He moves closer towards me. There's a slight sparkle in his eyes that makes my heart jump. Oh my god are we going to... kiss?! No, we can't! This is all too fast! We've only become friends a day ago! How could I have forgotten the horrible things he's done to me?! But those things seem to fade away from my mind as I lean in closer...

RINGGGGGG!!!! Tyler quickly moves away from me. "Oh, that's the bell, must be for the night activity. we better get back." My heart's still pounding. We were so close to- well, actually I was so close to getting my first kiss. I think that bell saved my life. Tyler's been kissed millions of times, probably. We jump up and run back on the board walk, pretending like nothing happened.
