Chapter 5

Today's Thursday. I hurried to school because I woke up at 8 and now I'm running late. I slipped my bag to my shoulders and ran downstairs.

I arrived at 8:35. Damn, I'm late. I walked in class and everyone were staring at me. But thank goodness Mrs. Sadler, our English teacher is never mad at us. She let me in and didn't give me any detentions or angry looks or shit.

The bell rang. It was lunch time. I didn't have any class with Lucas today so now I've got a chance to meet him, YAY!

Lucas stopped wearing his black hoodie today. I guess he was a little more confident now. "Hi, Ruby! I've missed you love. It's too bad we didn't have the same classes today." He hugged me. Awwww that's the first. And he called me love!

I added, "Aww, I missed you too." We walked together to the canteen (this time we were holding hands <3<3)

We headed to the table Jackson and Maddie were sitting at.

As usual, me and Lucas sat across them. We chat until we finished our lunch.

Maddie said, "Hey guys, Jackson and I need to see Mrs. Grant to talk to her about something. I'll see you later Ruby. Bye Lucas!"

We waved goodbye. Jackson was still being so silent since Monday. What was going on with him? Eh, he's just being weird.

"Lucas, remember about the promise that you made?" I asked. "Yes m'aam. I shall show you my awesome magic spells." He chuckled.

And so, I brought him to the swimming pool area of the school. I usually go there when I'm lonely or bored to read books.

We sat down on the bleachers, no one else was there. Lucas held his hand in front of my face, the fire appeared again. I stared at it's beauty.

"This is not all I can do." Lucas told me. "Remember on Math class we were talking and Mr. Gregory didn't hear us?" He asked. I nodded. He continued, "I cast a silent spell so he wouldn't hear us talk." I replied, "wow, that's pretty neat!"

"I can also read minds." Lucas added. "Seriously!? Cool! I want you to read my mind..........now."

Lucas stared into my forhead, like he's starving for my brain. I was thinking of this 'Lucas has luscious hair'.

Lucas opened his mouth and he said, "you were thinking of...'I have the most luscious hair in the entire universe'?" He smiled. "You got that right mister! Wow, you really do can read minds." I chuckled. Lucas added, "you know what I was thinking of? Ruby, you are the precious gem of my life, and I want to be with you, everyday and every second of my life."

He moved his head closer to mines. I moved my head closer to his too. We both closed our eyes, and our lips touched.

He kissed me and I kissed him. The feeling was amazing, and I didn't want it to stop. His lips were attached to mine and we didn't want them to get unattached.

It was like, our lips were bound together. The kiss was relaxing and sweet. Everything around us were frozen, black and white. It's like we stopped time.

And after what felt like eternity, he released his lips from mine. This waw mt first kiss! It was his first kiss too. His eyes were glowing red and they were sparkling like rubies. Mine were too :D

Lucas started saying, "Ruby, I am so in love with you. You're the most beautiful and fascinating girl I've ever met. From this day and forward, may I call you my first girlfriend?" I shouted "YESSSS!!! YES YES YES!!!" I kissed him again.

When suddenly, the door slammed opened, and Felicity Wilson walked in. She's the most popular and beautiful girl in school. I hated her. A lot. But this day, she actually said something nice to me!
