After our long talks, dinner finally came to an end.

"Thankyou for the wonderful dinner, but I'm afraid Lucas and I have to go now." Amelia spoke up after we finished our glass of wine.

We all got up from our chairs and led Lucas and his mom out of the dining room.

"Thankyou for coming." Mom said to Amelia.

As Lucas headed for the door, I grabbed his sleeve and pulled him towards my body. I gave him a quick kiss on the lips as Lucas jumped.

"Whoa, didn't see that coming." I just smile at his cute reaction. I turned to the door and realized our parents saw our kiss. They just shrug it off and went outside.

We said our goodbyes to Lucas and his mother and went back inside.

"So?" I cocked an eyebrow at my mother. "Your boyfriend seems like a decent boy." She said while pulling out a smile.

I cheered in excitement jumping up and down in front of my mom. She just rolls her eyes and headed to her room. I went to my room as well and passed out on the bed.

I decided to sleep in the next morning until I got woken up by my phone ringing. Apparently I forgot to turn it off last night. I moaned and picked it up. It was Maddie calling.

"Err hello?" I answered still half asleep.

"Ruby, have you just woken up? It's 11 for God's sake get off your bed."

"Uh okay okay. Why exactly are you calling?"

"I'm right by your doorstep. No one's answering the door."

"Alright, I'll open it for you. Hold on a sec."

I hung up the phone and went straight downstairs still in my sleepwear. My parents must've been out. I unlocked the door for Maddie to find my friends outside.

"SURPRISE!" Maddie, Lucas, Jackson, Brandon, Zoe and what surprised me, Dakota shouted at the same time. What the hell, it's not like it's my birthday or something. The four boys looked at me with a frown on their faces.

"Uh Ruby?" Maddie said looking straight at my clothes.

I realized I wasn't wearing a bra. "Oh um, I'll go get ready first guys."

I ran upstairs to my room, brushed my teeth and took a quick shower, got changed and went back outside. I was putting on my jacket as I walked out the door to see everyone still standing outside.

"Um, were you guys here the whole time?" I asked. Jackson groaned. "Yes! Now hurry up, we're going out."

Lucas took my hand as we walked. "Morning sunshine." I gave his cheek a peck and replied. "Morning babe."

We walked over to Brandon's black Range Rover that was parked a few yards away from my house. He sat at the driver's seat and Maddie sat at the passenger's seat while the rest of us cramped in the back.

"Let's roll!" Brandon said as he adjusts his seatbelt. He hits the accelerator and drove through the streets.

"So where we heading?" I randomly asked. "To my dad's English restaurant for lunch. Looks like you'll be skipping breakfast today." Brandon answered with a cheeky smile across his face. I guess that explains Brandon's accent. His father's British.

"Trust me, the food there is amazing." Maddie tells us as she turned her head back. We all nodded in reply.

I turned to Dakota who was sitting beside me. "What made you want to come?"

Jackson saw me asking. "Oh don't worry Ruby. He's Lucas' cousin and he lives in Canada. He was visiting Lucas for a while and decided to come with us."

"Oh, so you're Canadian?" I turned to Dakota with a smirk. "Yes I am. Nice to meet you Ruby." He replied trying to hold his laughter in.

I could see Lucas trying so hard not to laugh while Zoe and Jackson exchanged confused looks.

We arrived about 20 minutes later. Brandon parked the car and we got out. We stepped inside a huge white building. The restaurant was big and super fancy.

"Brandon wow! This place is amazing." Zoe said as we walked pass some tables. Brandon chuckled, "I know right? And the best thing is, you guys won't need to pay for the food." Jackson cocked an eyebrow. "You serious?" Brandon laughed again, "Yeah bro, of course. Come on, I'll show you the VIP table."

We walked to a private area on the corner of the restaurant which was supposed to be the VIP table. We sat around the table and ordered our food.

I elbowed Lucas who was sitting on my left. "Hey, what are your ordering?" He read through the menu and turned to the waiter, "I'll have the pan fried pheasant please." The waiter nodded and wrote it down. "I'll have the same." I told the waiter.

We all finished ordering and decided to chat a bit. "So how long has your dad owned this restaurant?" Lucas asked as he drummed his fingers on the table. "Ever since my father moved here from England, about twenty years. He's always dreamt of opening his very own British restaurant." Brandon explained.

We all nodded in reply. "Is your mother British as well?"

"No, she's American. It was my mom that made him decide to stay here in New York. They fell in love and dad opened his restaurant here." Brandon corrected. Although this made me wonder. What if someday Lucas had to come back to Ephiezora, what if he becomes king while I'm here alone. And I'm about to be turned into a sorceress soon. I needed to calm down.

After a few moments, our food arrived. "This is my first British cuisine!" Dakota cried as he grabbed his knife and fork. "British food is great man. But I also love the salmon from your country. They're amazing." Brandon said. "Umm yeah, salmon is totally the best. We've got a lot of them back home....in Canada." Dakota replied with a funny grin. Lucas and I held our laughter in, this was just too funny.

We all ate happily until we became so full. "Oh my gosh Brandon, this is so good." I told him as I took a bite off my meal. He smiled as he continued to chew his food.

We finally finished our food and we decided to go to the garden outside the restaurant. This place is just like a palace you would find in Europe or something.

We all spread out in the garden and walked in pairs except Dakota cause he didn't have a partner. He decided to walk with Lucas and me.

"Hey guys." Dakota said as he walked up to me and Lucas. "Hey man."

"Guys, can we talk about our trip to Ephiezora next month?" I asked. Both guys nodded. "Sure."

I let out a long sigh. "To be honest, I'm a little nervous about it and... turning to a sorceress." Lucas squeezed my hand. "Aw, don't be. Everything's gonna be fine okay?"

"Uh what if Lucius sees me? And worse, sees you! He could kill you." Dakota shook his head. "Don't worry, I don't think Lucius will think Lucas is coming back. Besides, we'll wear a cloak or something so nobody will notice him." I nodded. "Do you know what the elders would do to me? To...change me?"

"Uhh...no Ruby. I don't know exactly." Lucas replied with his voice that cracked a little. "But no! Don't be scared. Nothing bad will happen to you okay? I won't let it. It won't hurt or anything. Everything will be fine and you'll be safe, I promise." I let out a sigh and looked down.

Lucas grabbed both my arms interlocking our fingers together and moved closer to me.

"Um okay you guys.....go do your thing, I'll just...go over there." Dakota sighed and walked away from us.

I leaned forward and stood on my tiptoes to give Lucas a long tender kiss. Lucas slid his hands softly from my arms to my cheeks as he gently rubs them with his thumbs. It was a perfect kiss like always and we couldn't make it stop.
