Chapter 11

A huge lightning struck and I roused from my sleep. I looked around but everything was pitch black, it was really dark and I couldn't see a thing.

That's weird, my lamp was turned on when I went to bed last night, I wondered. Ugh, what time is it?

I tried to reach for my alarm clock on the nightstand but the nightstand wasn't there and I fell off the bed. Ouch!

I was still lying there on the cold hard floor. I stood up and tried to find the window. I bumped the wall a few times and I finally reached the window.

I opened the curtains and a light shone to the room. I could see the moon shining bright in the night sky. The sky was filled with shining stars. But wait....

I didn't see streets or houses from the window. But instead, there lied green hills, valleys and forests. What the fuck? I was so confused. Where the hell am I?!

I turned around and I could finally see the room thanks to the moonlight. It wasn't my room.

I was standing in a dark gothic room with a high ceiling and dark stone floors. The bed was massive. There was a table and an unlit candle sitting on it. A potrait of an old man hung next to the door and a long mirror near the closet. Everything was dark and gothic.

I walked slowly to the mirror and I could see my reflection wearing a long black Victorian age dress and my hair was made to a high bun. How did I get these on? Is someone playing a prank on me?

I rushed to the door but it was locked. I kicked the wooden door and it flunged open.

I walked out the room and found myself in a long, narrow hallway. It was full of paintings of ancient looking people. I was creeped out by this place and so I ran to the end of the hallway and found another door. I opened it and got out.

I walked down a grand staircase and found myself in a really wide hall. This place was old, dusty, and dark. It was like some kind of medieval castle. I wondered to myself, Am I dreaming? But this feels so real, I can't be dreaming.

I shouted, "HELLO? ANYONE HERE? WHERE AM I? WHO BROUGHT ME HERE?." No one answered. I thought I was alone. "LUCAS!!! DID YOU BRING ME HERE? PLEASE, I WANT TO GO HOME. SOMEONE PLEASE ANSWER ME!" I was so scared.

I walked around the hall and saw statues of people. It wasn't just people. They were hooded people with their hands out and some sort of fire coming out of them. I knew I was somewhere in Ephiezora.

There were torches hanging around the walls with cobwebs on them. This place was giving me the creeps, I was in some kind of horror movie setting.

I started yelling again because I was terrified.

While I was yelling for help, I suddenly heard screams of a man. "NOOOO!!! PLEASE, DON'T DO THIS LUCIUS, PLEASE. AAAAAARGH..." the screams stop."OH MY GOD, WHO WAS THAT? WHAT WAS THAT!?"

I ran towards a tall door where I heard the screams coming from. I opened it terrifiedly and stepped inside the room. I walked 2 steps forward when suddenly the door behind me closed and I could not open it, I was locked in.

I looked around the room. Nothing was there. There were no lights, no windows. Everything completely dark.

I walked straight like a blind man and stopped when I heard a deep man's voice.

"Hello. You must be young Ruby." I was startled, "W- who are you, and what do you want from me?!" The voice answered, "I cannot tell you who I am nor can I tell you what I desire. People fear me, I was an outcast. Hated, abandoned by everyone. My heart is filled with darkness." The room suddenly became cold and freezing.

I asked terrifiedly, "a- are you a so- sorcerer?" He answered, "That is true, I am a sorcerer of Ephiezora." I asked again, "who screamed for help just now." "I will show you."

Suddenly, I was teleported into some kind of palace and I could see the king's throne. At the foot of the throne, a man with a red robe on and a golden crown was lying there bleeding badly.

I shouted to him but he could not hear me. This wasn't real, it was some kind of hologram.

A man with a black hood and robe on walked towards the dying king. He said to him, "seeing you like this makes me happy, Nicolai." The king who seems to be called Nicolai said with his dying breath, "Lu-cius p- please, don't do this."

The man with the black hood who seems to be called Lucius walked nearer to Nicolai. He took out a long silver sword from his robe and raised it high with his two hands. His hands had weird looking blue and yelllow shaped lights on them.

Nicolai screamed, "NOOOO!!! PLEASE, DON'T DO THIS LUCIUS, PLEASE. AAAAAARGH..." Lucius stabbed Nicolai on his chest with the sword and pulled it out quickly. He licked the blood from his sword. This guy was a pshycopath!!! I screamed like hell when I saw this happen and I was suddenly teleported back to where I was previously.

I cried, "YOU'RE LUCIUS DRACH! YOU KILLED NICOLAI, LUCAS' FATHER."

Lucius appeared in front of me wearing his black hood (the picture up there above the title shows Lucius Drach) I could not see his facial features because he wore a skull on his face. "Yes, my name is Lucius Drach, the most feared dark sorcerer of Ephiezora." He rubbed my cheeks. I slapped his hands off my face, "don't touch me you monster."

Lucius grinned and walked away from me and said, "I know I needed to kill Nicolai to take over Trixwerys. But he bares a son. Lucas Vrixon."

Suddenly, Lucas appeared next to Lucius. He looked beaten up and hurt badly. I cried, "LUCAS!! NOOO! GET AWAY FROM HIM." Lucas muttered, "Ruby, r- run!"

I tried to get up but suddenly, Lucius headed over to me and pushed me down, hard. He took out a blade from his robe and pointed it to my chest. I screamed, "AAAAAAAARGH!!" the blade went through my chest and lots of blood ran out of my chest. It hurted so bad and blood was spilled everywhere! I screamed some more "AAAAAAGHH!!"

I found myself sitting up on my bed. The light was on and the alarm clock showed 3:17 am. I was in my own room. It was all just a horrifying dream. I looked around and saw Lucas sitting on a chair next to me.

"Ruby, are you okay!?" He was concerned. "I'm fine. It just.. had a scary nightmare." Lucas went in my bed and lied there. I lied down too. He faced me and said, "I'll always be here to protect you Ruby, nothing will happen to you."

I snuggled into him and wrapped my arms around his body.
