"Lucas, I am freaking out right now!"

He cupped my face and gazed into my eyes. "Chill, Ruby. Everything will be fine."

"What about my parents? What should I tell them?"

"Don't worry, my mom's meeting your parents today. She'll explain everything about tomorrow."

"What will she say?"

"That you will be spending this week camping with my family! Sounds fun doesn't it? Your parents wouldn't say no."

"But my parents would want to spend Thanksgiving with me. What if they say no?"

"We would be back before Thanksgiving and if your parents do say no, we've got backup."

"Yeah, sounds great as hell! Sprinkle some magic at my parents and they'll say yes!" I rolled my eyes and threw myself onto the sofa. He took a seat beside me.

"It's going to be okay, Ruby. Please don't be scared baby." He stroked my arm up and down as he looked into my eyes with a frown. I giggled and pecked his cheek. "I'm not scared Lucas, not a single bit." He chuckled fiddling my hair.

"That's why I love you, you're so brave and strong. You'd make a powerful sorceress baby."

I giggled as he stood up and reached for my hand helping me up. "Come on, I want to show you something."

I followed him upstairs and into the sorcery room. The room was much tidier than last time when Lucas threw a tantrum. He reached the handle of an old dusty closet that was located at the corner of the room which I've never opened before. He opened it up and I peered into it.

"Whoa!" I gasped at the amazing collection of outfits. There were vintage dresses, clothes, pelts and cloaks hanging. "Are these the clothes you people wear?"

He nodded and chuckled. "We'll be wearing them to Ephiezora, don't want to be wearing human clothes or we'll be dead in a second. But don't worry, our clothes aren't that vintage. These dresses were the queen's, you won't have to wear them maybe just a cloak."

I sighed and giggled. "Oh thank God, I wouldn't want to look like a dumb princess."

"You're my beautiful princess. Now come here and kiss me." He smiled cheekily and I scoffed. "As you wish my prince." I skipped towards him as he spun me around and kissed me passionately. Our kiss got interrupted by rough footsteps coming down the stairs from upstairs.

I let go of Lucas as he closed the closet. We looked up in sync at Dakota rushing towards us.

"Guys guys guys!" He shouted looking very distressed.

"What is it man?" Lucas asked.

"T-the ruby! It's glowing like crazy!"

The three of us rushed upstairs to check on the ruby. We were stunned by the very bright ruby that was glowing and spreading its light all across the room.

"What's going on with it?" I curiously asked. Lucas sighed and answered, "It means it's ready to be used. We can go to Ephiezora now." There was a long pause until he added, "We're leaving tomorrow at dawn."

My eyes were glued at the glowing ruby wondering what it would be like in another realm.

"Hey, you gotta get some rest. Let me take you home." He offered.
I nodded. "Okay, but can we take the car please?"

"Sure, whatever you say babe."

He walked me out of the house and into his car. We drove silently through the streets as I sat there my head leaning on the window watching the streets flying passing us rapidly. I glanced at Lucas who was in deep concentration of driving.
