I was sitting in the back of the classroom, alone and sketching a drawing that I really liked. It was a humming bird next to a flower. I was minding my own business when someone came up to me.

"That's a really nice drawing." I looked up, and I immediately recognized him. He was holding a smoothie, looking down at my drawing.

"Oh, thanks." I looked down and turned around to pull my book out from my back pack. An excuse to look away.

"I'm Jacob." He smiled at me.

"I know." I closed my notebook and put it back in my bag. When I turned back around, someone bumped into Jacob, causing his smoothie to spill all over me. Mostly everyone laughed, I wanted to yell so badly. Only, I knew it would make me look like crazy. Jacob stood there, laughing as well. Which instantly made me dislike him.

"Sorry," Jacob continued laughing. He said it, but he obviously didn't mean it. And I didn't care. I stood up and wiped my face with the back of my sleeves. It took all my energy to remain calm.

"It's cool." I headed to the bathroom. The laughter fading, the further I went. If Rachel was here, she would be flipping out and helping me. Now, I just felt a bit lonely. Okay, a lot lonely. I can handle it though, it's only one more year until high school, I have to be mature. I reach the end of the hall and pick up my pace, I'm thankful that this hallway is normally empty since they have no lockers.

I go up the stairs and head in the bathroom. Penny was there, the only time you'll ever see her alone is in the bathroom. She's not like other girls, she likes going to the bathroom alone. She starts laughing when she sees me.

"Love what you did to your outfit." She snickered.

"I love it too." I roll my eyes as always. Penny goes back to putting on her mascara. I grab some paper towels and wipe it off.

"How did this happen?" Penny grabs some more paper towels and helps me wipe off. My mouth nearly dropped at her sudden generosity.

"Why do you care?" I didn't want to fall for whatever trick she probably had planning.

"Hey, I wanna be your friend. I just couldn't because you were always a tight group with Rachel. I thought I couldn't fit in."

"Whatever trick your planning, I'm not falling for it." I sigh and look at myself in the mirror.

"I'm not tricking you, I actually want to be your friend." She hands me a brush, I brush quickly before the smoothie can dry up and tangle my hair.

"I'll help." Penny turns on the sink and put my head near the running water. At first I thought this was the prank, but she takes my hair and rinses it. She does it to the other side and pulls out a clean face towel out of her bag to dry my hair. My jacket is getting soaked and I can feel cold water wetting my shirt.

"Don't worry, I'll call my nanny and tell her to bring some clothes." She looks at me up and down.
"Your about my size, I'm pretty sure it'll fit you." She smiles and dries my hair. She even pulls out a blow dryer and plugs it into an outlet.

"Don't tell me you'll pull out a whole hair salon next." I joked. Penny laughed softly. The bell rings and we now only have our five minute passing period until we're late to class.

"Crap, we can't be late on the first day." I say, hoping Penny would hurry up.

"It's fine, my mom is good friends with the nurse. We can ask for excuses."

"What if she won't give it to us?"

"I've done it many times, you'll be fine." We stay silent for the next four minutes. My hair is less soaked and Penny's nanny arrived with five different outfits.

"Last time I checked, I only had one body." I say as I watch Penny's nanny trying to fit her and the outfits through the door all together.
"They aren't all for you, silly." Penny laughs. This time it sounds different, it sounds less evil. Penny takes one and hands it to me. They are stylish ripped blue jeans and a knit sweater with new white converse.

"I know you don't wear heels. So I asked for white converse." Penny explains.

"Oh, thanks. You didn't have to." I take the outfit.

"No, it's fine. I wanna be friends with you now, remember?" She smiles and gestures for me to go change.
