I walk home with Jacob, hand in hand. We walk silently and he leaves first.
We quickly hug and I walk away, quickening my pace so I can get home and tell Rachel.
I take off my shoes and open the door. I see my sister on the couch, next to my dad.
They're both eating ice cream and laughing at a movie. Without disturbing them, I walk upstairs and text Rachel to see if she can call.
She says it's cool and I tell her about my kiss. She freaks out and does a happy dance. I smile and laugh.
During dinner I get a text from Jacob.
Jacob: Hey :)
Abby: Hi!
Jacob: You busy?
Abby: No, not at all. Just eating dinner.
Jacob: Okay, text me when your done. I'm coming over 🤘🏼
Abby: Uhh..okay
I turn my phone off and finish my food. I go upstairs and change into my pjs then go downstairs.
I text Jacob and he says he'll be here soon. I wait in the living room. I check Instagram and hear the doorbell.
"Coming!" I run towards the door. I open it. Jacob stands there with his hood on. He smiles when he sees me.
"Hi," He says shyly.
"Hey." I smile and look down. "Come in, you must be cold."
He walks in and we walk up to my room. He hasn't been in my house since that dinner.
I sit on my bed and he sits next to me. "So, what's up now?" I sit criss-crossed.
"Nothing, I just wanted to see you." He then takes both my hands and looks at me. "I just wanted you to know, I like you. I really do. The first time I met you, I could tell there was..something different about you. I just knew you didn't like me because of the way I treated you and I'm sorry." He looks embarrassed once he's done talking.
I laugh.
"It's fine. You were annoying though." He smiles, then leans in and kisses me. Kira walks in.
"Oh, uh, should I come back later?" She snickers. I pull away and throw a pillow at her.
"Shut up!" I yell as she slams my door. I look at Jacob and he's just giggling. He puts his arm around my waist and kisses me again.
