The apartment was beautiful. My old house was bigger, but this apartment was fancy.

Black marble floor tiles, the whole entire living and dining room walls were windows. The view was breath taking.

"Could I go to my room?" Kira and I asked at the same time.

"Uh, yeah. Down the hall that way, Abby's room is on the left. Kira's on the right." Mom said, walking over to the kitchen.

I walked over to see what my new room would look like.

I reached the end of the hall to a door and opened it, hoping it was the right room.

The room was about the same size as my old room, but the wall across my door was all window. There were a lot of buildings, right in the middle of my view was Central Park.

I can live with this. I told myself. I can live with this. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket, and FaceTimed Jacob. He didn't pick up the first few times, but on my fourth try he finally picked up.

"Jacob!" I yelled in excitement.

He rubbed his eyes and yawned. Then said, "not so loud."

I laughed. "My bad." I shut the door behind me. "Did I wake you?"

"It's cool." He said, and then set his phone on his table and had it face him. He closed his eyes. "How was your flight, babe?"

That was the first time he called me that, and my cheeks started to burn. I was glad his eyes were closed.

"Sucked."

He smiled. "That's nice." And let out a small laugh.

"So how are you?" I set my phone down and grabbed my suitcase.

"I don't know, tired, I guess. And missing you." He kept his eyes closed. His voice sounded really exhausted.

"Should I call you later?" I asked.

His eyes shot open. "No! Er, I mean. No, it's fine. I miss hearing your voice." His closed his eyes again.

"Okay, but if you fall asleep don't expect me to still be here when you wake up."

"Got that." He smiled. He looked more adorable than ever.

"Abby!" My mom yelled outside, her voice sounded with excitement.

"I'll be back." I said.

Jacob made a weird hand motion and murmured something I couldn't understand.

I opened the door and ran down the hall. "Yeah, mom?"

I saw mom at the door, next to her was Rachel. "Rachel!" I yelled and ran up to her. We hugged and I felt so happy, I could cry.

"What are you doing here?" We let go of each other.

"Well, my mom allowed me to stay one whole week with you and your family since I have no school for the next week or two." Her words rushed out of her mouth and she did a little happy dance.

"Awesome. Are you on break or something?"

"No, somebody set a fire in the halls and it's not safe and blah blah but anyway, who cares? Let's decorate your room now!" She walked inside and I followed after her.

"You can't decorate my room yet."

"Why not?" She stopped and looked at the doors. I knew she was wondering which room was mine.

"That one," I pointed to the last door on the left. She continued walking. "And I don't want to decorate my room right now, we could do that later."

She just shrugged and entered my room, then dropped her suitcase on top of my bed. She saw my phone on the floor and looked closer, then giggled. "Who's this?"

"That's Jacob."

"Oh right! Your boyfriend." She smirked when she said the last word.

"Be quiet," I lightly punched her in the arm. Which made her punch me back, but harder. "Okay, ow." I rubbed the spot she punched.

Rachel and I both sat down and Rachel studied Jacob carefully. Her expression was unreadable.

"He's sleeping?" She asked.

"Well he's tired,"

"I still hear you guys." Jacob muttered.

"Hi, Jacob. I'm Abby's best friend. Surely she mentioned me before?" Rachel gave me a look saying, "I better be right, or else I won't forgive you."

"Oh yeah. Rockwell, right?" Jacob said, his eyes still closed.

I cleared my throat. "Rachel!" I coughed.

"Rachel! Right, I'm sorry." Jacob corrected himself.

Rachel gave me another look saying "Really?" I smiled.

"Jacob, are you drunk?" Rachel giggled.

"Yeah, I've been drinking lots." He replied sarcastically. I checked my battery percent, it was at 2% and I didn't even notice.

"Jacob, I have to end the call. My phone's going to die." I explained sadly.

His eyebrows creased together. Then he sighed. "Alright, princess. Love you."

I didn't look at Rachel, since I knew she probably had the biggest smirk I'd ever seen on her. "Love you too." I blushed and pressed the red button.

"Interesting boyfriend you got there." She laughed.
