After crying for what seemed like years, I decided to fix myself up.
So what my first boyfriend kissed my best friend? He could be with her if he wants, I don't care. But what I do care about is our friendship.
I go to the bathroom and rinse my face. I look at the mirror and see my eyes are devilishly red.
I wash some more and wipe my face. I walk to my room and change into a new t-shirt and some sweatpants. I put on my sweater and boots and walk to Jacob's house.
It's 6:38pm, the sun was already gone two hours ago. I see some kids still playing outside, giggling and screaming. It all just reminds me of Rachel.
I snap out of my thoughts and ring Jacob's doorbell. His sister opens the door and invites me inside.
"Hey," I quietly say. I get kind of shy around her for some reason.
"Sup." She tells me that Jacob is in his room studying, we both know it's an obvious lie.
I walk up the stairs and down the hall to Jacob's room, I knock.
"Mom, I'm fine. You can leave." Jacob says through the door. I try to open it, but it's locked.
"It's Abby. Jacob, can we talk?" It goes silent for a while. I decided he wasn't going to open it, and I should just leave. Give him the time and space he needs.
Just then Jacob opens the door.
I couldn't help myself. I walk up to him and put my arms around him and start crying.
"Jacob, I'm sorry. I never meant anything I said earlier, I would never wish for anything like that, I'm just stupid." I was about to let go when Jacob put his arms around me, holding me tight.
I couldn't see his face but I knew he was crying, because of the way his body shook with every breath.
"It's okay, I know you didn't. I just hope you believe me that I never meant to kiss Penny." He kisses my forehead and I rest my head on his shoulder. My nose tickling the side of his neck, breathing in his faint scent.
"I believe you," I whisper. Then my eyes begin to fall. All of the crying I did earlier took my energy, I drop my hands to Jacob's sides and close my eyes. Sleep overcoming my body.
Ughhhhhhh..sorry for this crappy chapter. And all my crappy writing :(
