How To Mend A Broken Heart

Chapter 3

Next morning on Berk,
Hiccup was sleeping peacefully snuggled under the covers of his bed, until something heavy landed on his chest. Hiccup shot his eyes open & wheezed since the air was knocked out of him.

Toothless being the hyper dragon he was licks Hiccup's face all over.

"Okay, okay bud you know that doesn't wash out." He laughed pushing Toothless off.

"I know your excited bud, but let me get ready."

After getting ready he jogged downstairs seeing his mother up and ready.

"Good morning Hiccup. Ready to go?"

"Yeah Im ready, c'mon bud let's go."

Valka than hops on Cloudjumper while Hiccup hops on Toothless clicking his metal foot in place.

"Alright guys lets go."

Than they both shoot up into the air and flys twords sea.

"Thanks mom for filling in cheif for me the last couple of days."

"Your welcome son, I've seen you so worn down, hardly getting any sleep. You looked like a walking corpse," she said chuckling.

"I know, being cheif is so hard. I wonder how dad did it for so long."

"He was a very determine man and a hard worker, Hiccup. He was protecting all of us. When he first started it wasn't easy, but he got used to it and I was also there to help him. He did it for all of us."

"I know he did. He was great cheif and also a great father," Hiccup said with a small smile.

"Just curious who did you leave in charge? Please tell me its not the twins or Snotlout."

Valka just laughed.

"No, no I left Astrid in charge."

"Well that's a relief," Hiccup said with a sigh.

Valka just laughed at her son.

While you were sleeping you felt something hard and slimy hit your face. You jolted up from your sleeping position and looked to see where it came from.

You saw Midnight at the entrance of the cave making a gurgle sound which you assumed was a dragon laugh. You mocked her while standing up and swiping the dirt off of you.

You than put on your armor since tou took it off to sleep. Your armor was black with a little bit of violet to match Midnight's eyes. You also had a night fury symbol on your right shoulder pad.

You wore a mask which was black with a little bit of violet on the sides. You had your daggers strapped on your waist and two swords strapped on your back making an 'x'.

After that you two went out fishing. You were very skilled with catching fish with your bare hands since you've been doing it for years.

After you two ate you both walked around dicovering new plants. You wrote them in your journal. You also had a large map filled with islands you two have discovered (similar to Hiccup's but bigger).

After writing the information down you put away your journal and just walked around with Midnight taking in your surroundings.

While walking you heard something in the distance. You weren't really sure what it was so you hand signal Midnight to stay quiet. While walking twords the noise carefully, but cautiously.

"Midnight go hide I'll call you if I need you okay girl?"

She nods her head and bounds over to some large bushes. While she's hiding you crouch down behind a bush and look to see what the noise was.

You saw two masked figures one with blue, and the other with a black one. Once you see them you sigh of relief than right when you turn around to leave, you see a creature face to face with you. It's bright eletric green eyes boring right into your eyes.
