How To Mend A Broken Heart

Chapter 4

When your face to face with the creature it looks at you with curiosity in it's eyes. You held your breath to see what would happen next. You saw that it didn't want to cause harm so you sighed in reilef.

The creature than starts pushing you backwards twords the clearing where the two masked figures where at. By the time you tried to go back it was to late.

The two masked figures stopped talking and turn twords your direction. The one with the black mask takes action and takes out his sword, igniting it with dancing flames.

You took out your two swords and stood in fighting position. The black masked than came stalking twords you. Once he's in arms reach he swings at you while you block. You kept blocking and dodging his attacks swiftly with ease. He was fast and light on his feet, but so were you.

You sent a couple of blows to him but he recovers quickly. He also sent you a couple too. You grunt but recover quickly.

While you kept swinging he knocks the sword out from your left hand. You than bring the sword in your right hand to his neck with both hands. You both stare at eachother breathing heavily until Midnight comes running twords the black masked figure at full speed.

You than stepped in front of the mystery figure before Midnight could do anything.

"Midnight calm down, calm down its okay girl."

You had your hands out in front trying to calm her down. Once she does she gives you a grunt.

"Oh my, oh my gods Toothless! Look another night fury! Your not the last one!"

You turn and look at the black masked figure taking off his mask revealing his emerald green eyes. He had shaggy auburn hair with freckles sprinkled across his cheeks and nose.

The blue masked figure took off their mask revealing an older woman around her fourties with long brown hair. Her hair was braided and she also had green eyes.

They looked a lot alike so you assumed that they were mother and son. You looked twords the two night furies looking and sniffing at eachother.

You chuckled and saw Midnight come twords you with a gummy smile wagging her tail side by side.

You knew that these strangers didn't mean any real harm.

"I know we finally found another one, isn't this great? I told you so."

You rubbed her head smiling but it was hidden behind your mask. You looked twords the mother and son watching you interact with Midnight.

Midnight nudges your mask meaning for you to take it off. You looked twords the woman and she give you a reassuring nod and smile. You hesitated but finally took it off....
