Chapter 42

Hiccup than stood up and held out his hand towards you, to which you took. He than pulled you up as you both walked into the Great Hall.

When you both were inside all the Vikings were crowded around laughing loudly having the time of their life.

Hiccup scanned the area quickly before tugging you to walk forward. You both had to squeeze through the people and excuse yourselves to try and prevent yourselves from getting squished.

"Hiccup! Where are you taking me?" you slightly shouted over the loud vikings.

You didn't know where he was taking you until you noticed him dragging you towards the middle of the Great Hall where all the other vikings were dancing.

Your eyes than went wide as you stopped walking, making Hiccup turn around to give you a slightly confused face.

"I'm not dancing in front of the entire village Hic, you can't make me."

"Oh c'mon it'll be fun! Trust me."

Before you could speak up he beat you to it.

"You danced with me what's the difference now?"

"I don't know maybe because it's in front of the entire village," you said sarcastically.

"Hey just trust me on this okay?"

He looked into your eyes while he held your hands gently in his. As you looked into his green orbs it was like he was pleading, begging you to dance with him.

You than sighed in defeat, I mean seriously who can say no to him as he gave you those pleading puppy dog eyes?

"Fine I'll do it," you sighed.

He just smiled at you as he pulled you towards the middle of the Great Hall. You both were in the middle and as Hiccup looked down at you he saw the worry in your eyes.

"Hey, don't worry okay? Just focus on me alright?"

You gave a nod as you took Hiccup's hand in your's and before you knew it the music started to play.

As you both danced you kept your eyes on him trying to calm your nerves. After a minute your nerves died down as you and Hiccup danced with ease.

As the music played faster you both danced faster trying to keep up with the music. You both were smiling wildly as you danced.

Toothless and Midnight were watching happily from the sides as some of the villagers stopped dancing to watch you and Hiccup dance. The gang was watching and so was Valka.

Valka smiled seeing you both together. She was happy for the both of you. When she saw you both it reminded her of her and Stoick. Sometimes the way Hiccup was protective of you reminded her like how Stoick was protective over her.

At the end of the dance Hiccup pulled you up by the waist as he spun you around. This made everyone cheer and whistle loudly.

After the song finished, a new one started to play making some villagers come out and dance.

You and Hiccup were breathing heavily with smiles plastered onto your faces.

"C'mon let's get out of here," Hiccup said taking your hand and leading you out the doors.

As he whistled for Toothless you you turned towards Hiccup and spoke up.

"What do you have planned Haddock?"

"Well I just thought we could go on a midnight flight," he replied with a goofy smile.

Toothless and Midnight than came bounding out the doors towards you and Hiccup. As Midnight greeted you, you mounted on top of her before taking off into the starry night sky.

"C'mon slow poke!" you yelled.

"Am not!"

You both were laughing and teasing each other. Midnight than started to fly over and under Toothless as if she was teasing him also.

Once Midnight was flying beside Toothless evenly, you jumped up onto the saddle and walked across her wing and onto Toothless' wing. As you walked across his wing you than sat behind Hiccup making him smile.

"Hello mi'lady."

"Hello sir," you greeted back.

You than wrapped your arms around Hiccup's torso and leaned your head on his back. Hiccup felt the blood rising up to his cheeks feeling your arms around him. He thanked Odin that you couldn't be able see his face.

As you felt his torso you noticed that he was toned. You blushed very deeply. You knew he was toned but not this toned! You just smiled to yourself as you buried your face into his back.

You both stayed like that for awhile just enjoying each other's company and looking up at the starry night sky.

You than unwrapped your arms and from him as you hopped back onto Midnight.

"C'mon Hic, time to head home."

He gave a nod as you both turned around and flew back to Berk.

When you both landed you saw people heading out the Great Hall towards home.

"Okay guys lets head inside before we all get sick," Hiccup said.

When you four went inside Toothless went straight to the fire pit and lit up a fire. Toothless than settled down as Midnight came and snuggled up under his wing.

"Alright I'm going to go goodnight Hic."

You stood up onto your toes and kissed his cheek.

"Happy Snoggletog," you whispered.

"Happy Snoggletog [Name]," he whispered back.

You smiled as you turned around and walked up the steps to where a warm bed was waiting for you.
Once your head hit the pillow you were out like a light.
