You were now sitting on the porch with Hiccup's right hand in your lap. You were fiddling and picking at the lock, trying to free his hand.
It was silent, too silent for your taste. Would he be mad? Upset? That you didn't pick him instead of Midnight.
As you picked at the lock, the silence was getting to you. So you decided to speak up, breaking the silence.
"I'm sorry."
"Why? You shouldn't be."
"Because I let Scar take you," you said keeping your eyes on his wrist.
"Now why did you chose Midnight over me?" he asked.
"I knew that with two nightfuries we would have a better advantage of rescuing you."
"Exactly. You shouldn't be sorry because you did the right thing."
You than looked up at him.
"So your not, mad?" you asked.
"Of course not. What you did was the right thing to do."
You than looked back up at him again and smiled.
"Thanks, here you go."
You lifted the chain as Hiccup took his wrist rubbing it.
"Thank you."
"Your welcome, c'mon lets head to the Great Hall."
You than took his hand pulling him up, as you both started to walk towards the Great Hall.
You couldn't stop blushing as you held his hand. You had to turn your head away as you bit your bottom lip. It was so childish but you couldn't help it.
As you both were walking, Hiccup laced his fingers in yours, intertwining them. You weren't the only one who was blushing madly, Hiccup was also. His face was red and so were the tip of his ears.
'Great Thor, the Gods must be playing games with me,' you thought. If you had to be honest, you loved the feeling of his hand in yours, but what you didn't know was that Hiccup was feeling the same thing, and he absolutely loved it.
When you both arrived at the Great Hall, you spotted the gang and walked towards them. Snotlout was the first to spot your intertwined hands and spoke up.
"So are you guys together?"
"Together?" you asked puzzled.
"Uh yeah," he said gesturing towards your joined hands.
You both than quickly let go as you turned your head biting your bottom lip again. Damn it you needed to stop blushing.
Ruffnut saw this and had a mischievous smirk.
"Oh Hiccup, ask her out already. You two clearly like each other."
"Yeah Hiccup don't be such a wimp," Tuffnut said grinning
"Hello dear."
You turned around and saw Valka.
"Val! Oh am I glad to see you."
Valka was truly a life saver.
"Same to you, Hiccup you have a small council meeting."
"Alright, see you guys later," Hiccup said waving.
You all said bye as you all waved.
As you saw him leave you noticed that the sun was setting.
'Time sure goes by fast,' you thought. When your on a rescue mission, time seems to go by in a flash."Well I'm going to head home, I'm exhausted. Night guys, c'mon you two lets head home."
You gestured for the nightfuries to come as they followed you out the doors.
"When do you think they'll reveal their feelings to each other?" Astrid asked leaning agaisnt the door frame, as she watched you walk away.
"I don't know, but soon. They can't hid it forever," Valka said watching you walk back home.
