As you and Hiccup neared the house you saw Midnight and Toothless playing around in the grass. You smiled before whistling lowly towards the nightfuries.

"C'mon you two let's head inside," you gestured towards the house.

Both nightfuries came bounding over towards you and Hiccup giving you both their famous gummy smiles.

You and Hiccup chuckled softly as Hiccup opened the door to let you and the nightfuries in. You smiled as you walked inside.

'What a gentleman' you thought. As Hiccup closed the door you sat on the ground while Midnight layed her head on your lap.

Toothless lit up the fire pit before resting beside Midnight as Hiccup sat on the couch. After a few minutes Hiccup spoke up.

"Where did you learn that song that you were singing last night if you don't mind me asking."

"Well Valka taught me the song awhile back actually. She does has a lovely voice."

You chuckled softy before continuing.

"Ever since she taught me the song its just always stuck on my mind."

It was silent for a moment before he spoke up.

"You know my mom and dad use to sing that. They sang and danced to it one last time before we had, the battle."

You gave a nod in understanding as you stroked Midnight's jet black scales. Valka had to told you that she got to dance with Stoick one last time before he died. She said that she wouldn't trade that dance for the world.

You knew Hiccup was sad as he spoke about his father. You knew how it felt losing a parent you just didn't lose one though, you had lost both.

Hiccup than stood up and offered you a hand. You looked up at him with a questioning gaze.

"What are you doing?" you asked.

"I'm going to dance with you."

You shook your head chuckling softly.

"Hic I don't know how to dance."

You actually knew the dance since Valka also taught you the dance but you didn't want to dance because you were quite shy.

It was like Hiccup had read your thoughts as he spoke.

"I know my mom also taught you the dance too. No need to be shy just follow my lead."

He than took both of your hands gently in his as he pulled you up infront of the fire place.

Once you were standing up infront of him he started to sing softly.

"I'll swim and sail on savage seas with ne'er a fear of drowning, and gladly ride the waves of life if you will marry me. No scorching sun, nor freezing cold will stop me on my journey if you promise me your heart and love."

You stared in awe as he sang softly. His voice wasn't too deep nor too high, it was perfect. You than began to sing softly.

"And love me for eternity. My dearest one, my darling dear, your mighty words astound me. But I have no need of mighty deeds when I feel your arms around me."

Your voice was like a sweet melody to his ears as he sang back.

"But I will bring you rings of gold , I'd even sing you potery! And I would keep you from all harm if you would stay beside me."

You both kept smiling as you both kept dancing and singing faster and faster.

"I have no use for rings of gold, I care not for your potery! I only want your hand to hold.

"I only want you near me!"

You both smiled wildly as you both sang together and danced faster.

"To love and kiss, to sweetly hold! For the dancing and the dreaming! Through all life's sorrows and delights, I'll keep your love inside me!"

Toothless and Midnight watched you both as the swayed their tails and heads side to side as if they were joining you.

"I'll swim and sail on savage seas with ne'er a fear of drowning! And gladly ride the waves of life If you will marry me!"

Hiccup than pulled you up by the waist spinning you around as you laughed softly. He than pulled you close making you bump into his chest slightly.
You both were laughing breathlessly and smiling wildly at one another.

As you both got your breathing under control you both stared at each other's eyes. You knew right there, at that moment, that you were in love with him.

You were in love with the one legged boy and not because he was the pride of Berk or the cheif, but for who he was inside and out.

As you both stared at one another you both started to lean in. You had to stand on your toes and right when your lips were about to brush against his, the door opened causing you to jump back.

As you looked towards the door you couldn't help but smile.

"Hello Val."

"Hello dear, hello Hiccup," she spoke.

"Hey mom," Hiccup smiled.

"Oh you two should get some rest. Tomorrow is a big day."

"Tomorrow?" you asked.

"Yes dear tomorrow is Snoggletog."

"What? Wow were did the time do," you muttered.

She just chuckled softly at you before replying.

"Well you both should get some sleep, goodnight you two."

You and Hiccup bid your goodnights as she made her way upstairs towards her room. After a moment you looked at Hiccup.

"Well I'm gonna go, see you tomorrow stable boy," you said lightly punching his arm.

"See you too, night mi'lady."

He than pecked your cheek before walking towards the couch.

When your way up to the room you couldn't help but smile at the little moment you had dancing with Hiccup. You than crawled under the covers falling asleep with a smile on your face.
