The next morning I woke up and got ready. I looked at my phone and saw a message from Jayden.
From: Babe 😍❤️
Your beautiful. Gorgeous. Generous. Amazing. Awesome. Terrific. Caring. Loving. And just a great girl in all. Don't cut. Don't let suicide be the answer. Make some new friends. I texted my friends to let you sit at their table during lunch, they said you weren't there yesterday. I miss you babygirl, I'm coming back soon. Don't give up. xx
I smiled and texted back.
Thank you Peter Pan. I'll try and sit next to them a at lunch, it might be awkward. I miss you too Batman. I'll try xx
Of course he didn't text back right away because he was on a trip. Damn I felt like I was bothering him. I shouldn't be texting him on his family trip.
I decided to wear a thick black sweater, to cover the cuts. I wore peach jeans, and black converse. I ran downstairs, grabbing an apple from the counter.
"You know if you keep eating apples, they'll run out kiddo." My dad said, watching tv.
"Then we'll buy more." I replied, eating the apple.
"Yeah. Have a fun day at school pumpkin, and later we're going to the doctors for you. I know I know you hate going to the doctors but I'm worried about you. You haven't worn a thick sweater since Brent died.." He said, looking at me.
"Fine I'll go to the doctors. But I'm fine dad." I replied, faking a smile.
"I know what fine means and I know your faking a smile. Now now go to school, I'm picking you up afterschool." He said, hugging me.
I hugged back quickly, grabbed my skateboard and skated to school. My surroundings once more were weird. It wasn't as loud as before. The weathers the same. I mean.. Jayden isn't here.
A small tear escaped from my eyes. I wiped it away. Once I reached the school, I walked through the double doors and to my first class.
Maybe I could be friends with Zach?
I slightly smiled. As I walked into the class, I saw Zach already in the seat next to mine. Alex was there too. I sat down in my seat.
"Hey Zach, I'm sorry for being so mean yesterday. I just didn't feel happy." I said, apologizing to him.
"It's alright, I know how that feels." He replied, smiling.
"Okay class. I'm not going to teach you anything today, so your just going to write notes about some ideas of a product. That's the project were doing this week. It's due next Monday. This is individual projects. If I catch any of you working with a friend, your eliminated. And your grade for this project will be an F!" The teacher said, loud enough for the whole class to hear.
Most students groaned, the nerds smiled and I.. well I just took out a notebook and a pencil and jotted down some ideas. I wrote down..
A homework machine.
I doubt I can make that.
A craft.
Possible, but I hate crafts.
Skateboards.
Now I can do that.
*SKIPPING TO LUNCH*
I went to go get lunch. Nothing too big, nothing too small. It was a salad. I walked to Jayden's table, smiling. I hope they let me sit with them.
"Oh hey Noelle!" One of Jayden's friend said.
"Hey.. Can I sit here?" I asked.
"Sure! I'm Clark. That's Jace, Joey, Seb, and Mark. Jace and Joey are twins, Jace is older by 10 seconds." Clark said, pointing at each one of them.
"NO IM OLDER THAN JACE BY 10 SECONDS!!" Joey replied.
"NO IVE SEEN OUR BIRTH CERTIFICATES!!" Jace said.
"Calm your man tits." Seb said.
"They got none." Mark replied to Seb.
They laughed together and slapped their knees.
"Sorry about them, their cousins.." Clark whispered.
"Seems like it." I chuckled.
Sitting with them was fun. Even though we just met, it feels like we've known each other for a really long time. I'm glad to have friends like these idiots.
I've actually gotten closer too Clark. Jayden's my boyfriend but Clark is like my best friend. This day was fun.
