Elisabeth came right on time as planned. Her sister Amanda parked and got out of the car because she was curious to know who Ana was. Amanda was totally different than Elisabeth. She seemed a bit arrogant and stuck up. Like one of the popular girls in school. Amanda was the same age as Ana and was going to be a senior too. Amanda had noticed Adam's car parked in the driveway.

"Do you know the Smith brothers?"

"No, I don't really know anyone here yet. Why?"

"Because that is Adam Smith's car over there in your driveway."

"Oh Adam. Yeah I know him. He works with my grandfather."

The truth was Ana didn't know that much about Adam except that his mother had passed away when he was younger. She was just starting to get to know him over the past few weeks.

"I don't know if he has any siblings because I've never met his family before."

"Oh I know the Smith family very well. Adam is the oldest and he has two younger brothers, Zach and Chad. They go to high school with us. Actually Zach and I are kind of dating."

She glared at Ana as if she were warning her to stay away from Zach. Amanda bragged as if she knew everything about the Smith family. Ana felt like Amanda didn't have to be so defensive because she didn't even know Adam's brothers nor would she even be interested in them. Ana had a crush on Adam. Ana just looked at Amanda as she spoke to her about Adam's family.

"So what's your story?"

"My story?"

"Yeah, why did yawl move here anyway?"

"Well...um..."

Ana didn't feel comfortable talking about her life to complete strangers. Especially to someone like Amanda.

"My mom is from here."

"Obviously, I already knew that." Amanda rolled her eyes at Ana. "Why did she decide to move back after all this time?"

"I-I..." just then Elisabeth decided to interrupt and save her friend from her sisters' mini deposition.

"Isn't time for you to leave Amanda? We really need to start practicing and you are just distracting us."

She motioned for her sister to leave. Amanda rolled her eyes.

"Okay, Okay, I'm leaving. I'll be back to pick you up in about two hours or so."

Ana was relieved when Amanda decided to leave. She did not want to tell her about her father. She didn't like how Amanda was looking at her as if she were judging her.

"I'm so sorry for my sister's rude behavior. She doesn't seem to have a filter. You can only imagine how it is living with her." Elisabeth chuckled a little.

"It's okay. Follow me. I'll show you my favorite spot on the farm to practice."

Ana tried to pretend that it didn't bother her as she showed Elisabeth the spot where she loved to practice. The two girls had danced for about two hours when Elisabeth's phone rang. It was time for her to leave. Amanda had called her and told her to be ready and waiting for her to pick her up at the front of the house in thirty minutes. They packed up their things and went over to the front part of Ana's house to wait for Elisabeth's sister to arrive
