When they all finally arrived to Miami, Ana's grandparents and a few of her friends from the studio where at the airport waiting to greet them. They held up signs with Ana's name on it and had balloons and flowers waiting to welcome her home. Ana was so glad to see her family and friends and she cried as she hugged her grandparents. Then she looked over and saw her best friend Rebecca and the two girls squealed with delight as they ran to hug each other.
Ana had introduced Sergio and Cristov to the rest of her friends from the dance studio and her teacher Miss Liana. They were thrilled to meet them both and welcomed them to Miami with a big group hug. Ana had missed her dance family in Miami and it felt like old times seeing them again.
Ana drove in the same car as Rebecca and the two girls sat in the back seat catching up on everything. They took them all to Ana's grandparents' house first so they could get settled in long enough to pack a bag so they could hit the studio for practice right away.
Ana had shyly giggled and blushed as she told Rebecca all about Zach and their relationship with each other. She bragged about how sweet and gentle he was with her and their last kiss at the airport in front of everyone, including her mom and brother. Rebecca couldn't believe that Ana's mom and brother actually let Ana kiss a boy right in front of them. She was shocked to see how much her friend had changed.
Rebecca noticed that Ana was different, but in a good way. Ana's face lit up when she spoke about Zach and Rebecca noticed how much her friend had come back to life. Rebecca was worried about her best friend after her father died because she seemed to have lost her way and closed herself off to the world around her, including dance. Now she was noticing a new light in Ana and it was shining even brighter than before. Ana had a glow about her that radiated every room she was in. She was like a lighthouse sitting on a hill, shining its beacon for all the world to see.
Rebecca had inquired about Ana's dance partner Cristov, she thought he was cute. She was always very flirtatious with the boys. Cristov was very handsome and quite the ladies' man. All of the girls in the studio were always hanging all over him and he didn't seem to mind the extra attention either.
Ana thought he was a little bit cocky and thought of himself as a Casanova. She had no idea that he was even attracted to her. He was very funny and loved to joke around with her all of the time and they had a lot of fun during their long hours of rehearsal but Ana wasn't interested in him romantically.
Cristov loved taking his shirt off and showing his six pack muscular chest just to get female attention but Ana never fell for his tricks and usually blew him off. He had dark hair, green eyes and a really great smile that he used to charm the ladies. Ana warned Rebecca about his player ways and told her to not even bother getting involved with him.
Rebecca was attracted to the bad boy mysterious type and didn't pay much attention to Ana's warnings. She joined in with the rest of the girls at her old studio as they stood by and flirted with Cristov. Rebecca told Ana that she was envious of her because she got to dance with such a hot partner. She was a sucker for his thick Russian accent and his flirtatious ways.
Cristov was trying to make Ana take notice in him or become jealous when the girls flirted with him at the studio. She just shook her head as he flirted heavily with her old friends. She was slightly annoyed by his arrogance. Ana went over to where Cristov was standing with some of the girls and told him that they needed to go to a private studio so they could focus on their dance routines.
"Sorry ladies I must go. I can't help that my partner desperately wants to get me alone."
Ana slapped him on the chest.
"Come on Cristov. Stop playing around. We need to practice."
Then she grabbed him by the arm and led him towards a private studio. Once they got inside he tried to hit on her but she told him to stop playing around, she wasn't like one his little puppy dog girlfriends. He just laughed at her and walked away to turn on the music.
Ana was relieved to see Sergio come in to the studio because she knew he could get his brother under control. Sergio noticed that Cristov was playing around and annoying Ana so he said something to his brother in their language and it sounded like he was yelling at him for something. Whatever Sergio said to Cristov made him stop playing around and get focused.
"I'm sorry Ana for my bad behavior. It won't happen again."
Ana couldn't stay mad at him very long because he had this way of giving a person these puppy dog eyes that begged for forgiveness and made her laugh. The awkward tension left between them the more they danced. They were both still making small mistakes and there were a few lifts that were still giving them some difficulty. Ana grew very tired after four hours of working hard on the same day they arrived. It was getting very late so they called it a day and went back to her grandparents' house to get some sleep.
