Ana was crushed. She couldn't believe that Adam apologized and left in such a hurry. It was as if he had no feelings for her at all. She blamed herself for falling into his arms and kissing him so easily. It happened so quickly. She couldn't understand what got into her. She was never this type of girl. The kind of girl who goes around kissing forbidden boys.
Ana knew that Adam was off limits to her for so many reasons. He was older than her, best friends with her brother, worked with her grandfather and was the older brother of the guy she was kind of dating.
That's when she started to think about Zach. How could she do this to him? How could she allow herself to be overcome by so much emotion? She had promised David that she wouldn't allow herself to be overcome by emotion when it came to guys. Ana felt so guilty for breaking her promise David and betraying Zach. Maybe Adam was right. It was a mistake. They both made a mistake. Caught up in the heat of the moment and overtaken by passion. Deep passion.
But still, Ana couldn't help but think about that passsionate kiss. Even though it was her first kiss and she had no other to compare it to, it was a pretty amazing kiss. The memory of that kiss would be lodged in some locked-up corner of her heart forever.

The entire ride home Adam felt frustrated to the depths of his being. The thought of what just took place would stay lodged in his heart forever. That kiss was more magical than anything he had ever read in a book or seen in a movie. Adam knew that it would be difficult to fight the passion he felt for Ana. Especially after their kiss. It was going to be difficult to see her again. It was like awakening desires before the proper time. Adam knew that it was bad timing. He should've protected her and fought harder to not kiss her in that moment. The last thing he wanted was to make things awkward between them.
She must hate me for leaving in such a hurry.
Adam wished that he could call her and explain what was going on in his head. But he didn't want to make it more difficult than it already was between them.

Ana wished that she could call Adam and talk about what just happened between them. But she didn't want to make it worse. Clearly Adam was not feeling the same way as she was. Feeling a little guilty from what happened a few minutes earlier Ana decided to call Zach. He had asked her how her day was. She was a little nervous. Wondering if he suspected anything between her and Adam.
Zach has been a great friend. He had a special way about himself. He was able to get Ana to open up and tell him everything. Of course she omitted the part where she kissed his brother. He told her that he wished that he could've been there for her. Ana suggested that he come along with them tomorrow. That way it wouldn't be so awkward between her and Adam, even though Zach had no idea what happened between them. They spoke to each other for a while on the phone before going to bed. Ana was exhausted from the day's events.
