Ana called her brother David and asked when they were coming, he told her that they would be there in about fifteen minutes. Ana had asked her brother if they could meet her and Zach at the high school because he needed to go there to get ready for the parade. David had agreed to meet them there in twenty minutes and Ana had told Zach that it was okay for him to take her with him and introduce her to his teammates.
Zach wanted to make sure Ana was okay and asked her if she was absolutely sure before they left but Ana kept insisting they go so he wouldn't be too late. Zach held tightly onto Ana's hand as they walked over to the school's football field where there were lots of teenagers and floats all lined up.
Robbie had noticed Zach and Ana walking over and ran over to greet them. He was surprised to see that they were holding hands and looking all giddy with each other. Robbie shook Zach's hand and gave him a hug and then he turned to Ana and smiled at his cousin. Then he began to question them, by asking what the deal was with the two of them and asked if they were going out. They both nodded their heads yes and looked at each other and then back at him. Robbie just laughed and gave Zach a high five like he just scored a touchdown or something.
Ana didn't know that her cousin was on the football team. The two of them led Ana over to a group of their teammates and introduced her to everyone. Robbie joked around with Zach and said that his best friend had the hots for his cousin and the boys ran around and hit each other.
Some of the other guys were just checking out Ana and noticing how beautiful she was. They laughed and high fived Zach. Ana felt as if she was a piece of meat being carefully examined by all of the guys and felt a little uncomfortable with all of the male testosterone. She stood there all alone as some of the guys whispered into Zach's ear, laughed and punched him as they called him names. Ana shook her head and rolled her eyes.
Robbie came over to her and began asking her questions about her relationship with Zach. He asked her if their grandfather knew about it and what her mom and brother thought about her dating Zach. Ana had explained to Robbie that Zach had come over to her house and asked her family for their permission to date her.
Robbie was shocked that his cousin seemed to have a strange effect on Zach. He couldn't believe that his best friend would have the guts to face a girl's family and ask them for their permission to date her. Robbie knew his friend very well and he has never seen Zach act this strange around a girl before. He was thoroughly impressed with Ana.
Some of the cheerleaders came over to where Ana was standing with the boys and she noticed Amanda walking with a few of the other cheerleaders across the field. Ana was a little nervous about seeing Amanda and didn't know that she was a cheerleader. Some of the girls stood there and talked to Robbie. He introduced Ana to the girls.
"This is my cousin Ana."
They seemed to be really nice to her until Amanda came over and noticed them talking with Ana. Amanda had made a smart comment and motioned for the girls to follow her so they could practice some of their cheers for the parade.
Zach came back over to see if Ana was doing okay and he grabbed her by the hand and played around with her as they talked with each other. He was softly caressing her face and playing with her locks of hair. Ana just gazed into his eyes. The soft touch of his fingers made him more desirable. Zach was telling Ana about the parade and where they can meet up again after it was over.
"I don't think that Amanda is happy seeing us together."
"Don't you worry about Amanda. I'll take care of you."
Zach turned and faced Ana as he laced his fingers through hers and looked deeply into her eyes. Ana still wasn't too convinced but she couldn't help but smile at Zach. He always knew how to make her laugh and feel calm. Zach just flirted with Ana and made her feel like she was all alone with him. Amanda had noticed from a distance that Zach was holding Ana's hands and the two of them were flirting with each other. She became furious.
