Adam's face was a little disappointed and nervous at the same time. He took a nervous gulp. He was still trying to process what happened with him and Ana not too long ago. He thought that Ana liked him and was disappointed that she would move on so quickly. Mostly he was frustrated with himself for not speaking up sooner.

Ana tried talking to him several times but he shut her down or avoided her. It was not because he didn't think about her every moment of day since the time they kissed. That was the problem. He couldn't get her out of his head. He struggled with the feelings he had for her. He wanted to do things properly. He wanted to speak with her family first and ask them for permission to be with her.

Then logic kicked in and started to think about what Mr. Grant might think about Adam dating his granddaughter. Their age difference and the fact that she was David's sister. Out of all the girls he had to fall in love with why her? There were so many reasons for the complications but yet again he couldn't help what his heart felt for her.

He knew from the first moment he laid eyes on her that she was special. She was exactly the kind of girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. His mother used to tell him that when you meet the person you are supposed to marry one day that you will know the first second you meet. That was how Adam felt. He knew from the very first second he met Ana that he wanted to marry her.

It was later that things got complicated and he started to reason away his feelings for her. Why couldn't he tell her how he felt? How he's always felt even before they kissed. Adam just prayed and asked God to help him see things clearly. If she was the one he was supposed to be with then it would be possible not complicated. He waited but it didn't seem to get easier, just more complicated.

Dating his brother was definitely a big complication and distraction. Adam decided to leave early.
