FRANCO SMILE while looking at a rectangular wristwatch. It was a simple one, but it was the one who caught his attention. Naalala niya si Aki ng makita iyon.
Nasa California siya ngayon kung saan may concert sila. Last day na nila doon at aalis na sila ng mga ka banda niya para tumungo naman sa Beijing, China.
Napagdesisyunan nilang apat na maghiwa-hiwalay para mabili nila ang mga kanya-kanyang gusto.
"Yes, Sir. How can I help you?" tanong ng sales lady na naasign doon.
He smile. "Ah, yes. Can I see that?"
Itinuro niya rito ang relo at kinuha naman nito iyon. The lady smiled and give it to him. Napangiti siya ng makita ang presyo, kaya niya.
"That watch has a pair, sir. Kind of a couple watch, and it has a discount even though it just arrived yesterday, and your lucky because you're the one who got it first," anito at ipinakita ang kaparehong design na relo. Panglalaki iyon at sa tingin niya ay bagay din iyon sa kanya.
"Really? That would be a nice profit for you."
"The discount will be rounded off if you bought them together," sabi nito at ngumiti.
He nodded. "Ok, I'll get it. And please put it in a nice present box. I'll wear the other one."
"Okay, sir. Just wait for a minute. I'll pack it up for you."
"Thank you."
Habang hinihintay niya ang relo ay tumunog ang cellphone niya. Tumatawag ang manager nila.
"Hello, Manager Lin? Ah, opo, patapos na. Sa resto? Sige, alam ko yan, sunod ako," aniya.
Nang ibaba niya ang cellphone niya ay tapos na rin ang pagbabalot ng relo na nakalagay na sa isang maliit na paper bag ang kahon. Nagbayad siya at isunot ang relo bago itinago ang suot niyang relo kanina.
Tinungo na niya ang kinaroroonan ng mga kasama para sa dinner nila bago tutungong airport papuntang Beijing.
At kapag bumalik na siya sa Korea ay ibibigay niya ang relo kay Aki. Sigurado siyang magugustuhan nito iyon.
AKI COULDN'T close her mouth. She was too shocked to the news that she just heard. Her jaw locked, as if she could not move to close it.

"Aki, papasok na ang lamok at langaw sa bibig mo," narinig niyang sabi ni Welcy.
She blink her eyes more than once as if she isn't hearing anything.
Ate Ivine laugh gently and hug her. Doon na niya nagawang isara ang kanyang bibig.
"Okay ka na?" tanong ni Sandy.
Tumawa sila ng makitang halos himatayin siya. Papaanong hindi, ibalita ba naman sa kanya na 2 months pregnant si Ate Ivine. She's happy, but that shocked her, and she may be overreacting.
"S-so you're pregnant?" she manage to utter a question. Kahit na sinabi na sa kanya ay inulit niya pa rin.
"Yes. We thought you all should know first, but turns out, si Manager Shin and Brace's manager ang una namin kinausap. Then sa CEO natin at sa CEO din ni Brace. Nasabi na namin kina Welcy kahapon, you weren't here kasi busy ka, kaya ngayon lang since nandito ka," mahabang sabi nito.
"Bubwit, gusto mo ng tubig? Para yatang hihimatayin ka na," biro ni Kuya Brace.
She rolled her eyes. She now understand everything. "How many times to I have to tell you not to call me that."
