Chapter 5: Date Part Deux

Nadine's —
It was just a normal day, I was contemplating on going to Serendipity 3 or just stay at home. Since Kath was out with Dj, no other friends are nearby the city. I decided that I would sleep.

"What if I contact James?" I said to myself

"Nah, he would be busy with his work."

"How about text?"

"Wag na nga!"

It was 12 noon, It was really cold. The doorbell rang and I obviously have to get it.

I opened the door and to my surprise

It was a James Reid in my door.

"James!" I said with a shocked tone.

"I heard you weren't busy, Kath told me. Get dressed, I'm taking you somewhere."

"and where is it?" I asked

"It's a suprise, Nadine!" He said laughing.

"I'll be waiting." he added

I went inside my room and changed into the comfy clothes I have in my closet

"Ready!" I yelled

and he was there patiently waiting, holding a box.

"Here." He said and smiled at me.

"A box of flowers! Thank you!" I gave him a hug.

He tightened the hug.

He's a protector.

What am I thinking?

"Thank you ha! Saan nga ulit tayo?" I asked

"Part Two of our date." He said

"Ano!" I yelled

He dragged me outside of the penthouse and he opened the passenger's seat door when we got outside ...

"For today, since you have no plans in mind. I'll be making it. Enjoy, okay?" He said and smiled at me.

This rarely happens but,

When James Reid smiles at you, who wouldn't get butterflies in the stomach?

"Fine, ikaw bahala." I said

First stop: Central Park.

"and what are your plans in Central Park?" I asked when we arrived

"To admire you and the view." He answered

"Alam mo, napansin ko lang ha, masyado ka ng bolero." I said

"I'm not. You look cute today, if you didn't notice." He complimented

"Thank you." I smiled

We went biking, he took lots of pictures and lots of candid ones.

"Tara! Kain tayo." I said while pointing at the hotdog stand

We got hotdogs and sat on a bench in a near tree filled with cherry blossoms.

"How was it?" I asked

"The what?" James said

"The food!"

"It's okay." He answered

"Where are we next?" I asked

"Coney Island?" He asked with a playful smile

"Yes! tagal ko ng di pumupunta doon!" I said

"Someone's excited." He said

"Of course! one of my favorite place namin yun ni Kath." I answered
