Merida told us all about her date with Prince Jack. I couldn't focus though because he had invited me on a date. My maids were helping me get ready.
I slipped into a purple ruffled dress and one of my maids braided my hair down my back. Little flowers were pinned in. There was a knock on my door and I opened it.
"You look beautiful milady." Prince Jack was standing there looking attractive as ever.
"Thank you. As do you."
"Shall we?" He offered his arm and I accepted it holding onto his muscle.
"Where are we going?" I asked as he escorted me down the hall.
"Well a little birdie told me that you like art. There's a beautiful studio upstairs I think you'll find quite enjoyable." I smiled widely and he laughed. We walked in a comfortable silence until he stopped us in front of a door. "Here we are Milady."
I stared in awe at the rows of paint and other mediums. Charcoal, pastels, pencils, crayons and more.
"Its beautiful." I exclaimed.
"I'm glad you like it." He smiled.
"I love it." I hugged him. He hugged back with a chuckle. I pulled away blushing. "Uh sorry I just got excited."
"Nothing to be sorry about. So what would you like to do?" He asked.
"I want to paint something." I stated honestly, he gestured to the rows of paint cans.
"Take your pick Milady." He said. I thought for a moment about what I wanted to paint.
"Can I paint you?" I asked.
"Sure. Like this or do you need a nude model?" He smirked. I blushed and stared at the ground.
"Like that is fine." I giggled. I grabbed a few paint cans and started to paint the prince. From his snowy white hair and his chiseled jaw to his muscular chest. After about an hour of him moving and me throwing paintbrushes at him I finished the portrait. Prince Jack came beside me and stared at himself.
"You are amazing! Even better than some of the professionals we have here." He complimented me.
"Thank you Your Highness." I blushed.
"Just Jack is fine." I nodded in reply. He guided us to a room with a table set up. Two bowls of soup were opposite each other.
"So tell me how your feeling about the selection. " He said. He wasn't commanding about it he was just curious.
"Its actually pretty nice. The castle is beautiful, the food is great...your pretty amazing as well." I gushed. This time he was the one who blushed.
"What about the other girls? How are you getting along?"
"Well I spend the majority of my time with Merida and Elsa but most of the other girls seem ok." I shrugged.
"Most?"
"I don't really want to call anybody out..." I trailed off.
"I undestand. It must be stressful living with so many girls who want the same thing as you."
"Well they don't all want the same thing. Some want the crown, some want a higher caste, some want a prince"
"What do you want?" He asked with slight confusion.
"I want you. Not because your a prince or anything because you seem like a great guy. " He blushed again and I giggled.
"Thanks." He said. "So what about Elsa. What does she want?"
"Well she's not very interested in the whole competition at all. She doesn't want to win. She us rooting for me and Merida, I think. "
"Does she want to leave?"
"No. She really likes it here. At least I think she does. The three of us are really close." I responded. Our afternoon was cut short by a guard who requested Prince Jacks presence on behalf of the the king. He kissed my cheek and left me at my door.
