I sat on my bed not wanting to be around the other girls. My thoughts were interrupted by an alarm blaring through the palace. The rebels.

This time I really didn't want to be drugged so I sprinted through the tunnel to the safe room.

When I got there Mer and Punzie were there but there was no sign of Jack. I was relieved. I hadn't seen him since the party and frankly I didn't want to.

As the night went on the Elite were alone in the safe room with no royals. Or servants. Or guards.

Mulan wanted to go fight the rebels as did Merida but the rest of us held them down.

After they had calmed down we started talking. Something all five of us hadn't done.

"It's wierd. We've been here for a while and I've barely talked to any of you." Tooth laughed. We all joined in. The laughter was calming.

"What do you want to do after this? If you don't win?" I asked everyone.

"I want to be a guard. I know it's unorthodox for a woman to be a palace guard but I want to protect people." Mulan was passionate. I definitely saw a friendship opportunity in her.

"I want to travel. Or be a dentist. Or a traveling dentist." Tooth squealed excitedly.

"That sounds like the tooth fairy." Rapunzel giggled. Tooth shrugged and nodded.

"I want to stay in the palace and become a royal advisor." Merida admitted. She would be good at that.

"I want to sell paintings. I've always loved to paint but I've never sold anything. Maybe now that people recognize me I'll have more success."

Everyone else had a plan. Had a goal for after this. I had never wanted anything other then to be able to save Anna. I hated my father and whatever happened to me I hoped I would be able to get Anna and I away from him.

When I thought of my future all I saw was Jack. Even though he had hurt me I wanted to be with him. I didn't want to lose the selection.

After a few more hours of talking the door opened.

"Ladies it is safe to come out now." We went back to our rooms.
