I woke up to a light shaking on my shoulders.
"Miss you have to get ready to meet the prince." One of my maids smiled at me as I opened my eyes.
"Yes of course. " I got up and headed to the bathroom. When I came out, they pulled me into a strapless dark green dress. They pulled my curls into a messy ponytail. One of them applied my makeup and they all stepped back to admire heir handy work.
"I forgot to ask yesterday. What are your names?"
"I'm Marian, that's Carlotta and Plumette."
"I'll remember." I promised. They sent me on my way to the great room and I waited with Elsa and Punzie outside the door. Prudence came and gave us our instructions. She was the tour guide from the day before. She told us to take our seats and wait for the prince. I sat between Punzie and Elsa.
We talked for a while until gasps and squeals filled the room. We turned around to see the prince standing there. We all stood and curtsied.
"Hello and welcome to all you lovely ladies. I know you are all probably hungry but so am I. I would like to speak with all of you before we eat. One by one you will be called over to speak with me." He said. He walked over to a little lounge that was set up in a tiny space beside the room. They started calling people over. Punzie Elsa and I continued to talk until Rapunzel was called. She came back with a huge smile on her face. Than it was my turn. I casually walked over and stepped inside. I curtsied before falling back onto the couch.
"I'm Merida. " I smiled offering my hand.
"I'm Prince-"
"I know." I said cutting him off. "Everyone here does." I added.
"Yes I guess that's true." With that the camera men walked out so we could talk alone. He chuckled. I laughed with him until I snorted. I covered my mouth as he kept laughing. "Did you just"
"Yes that happens sometimes." I said trying to shrug it off. He just kept laughing. "Can I speak freely?" I asked.
"You already have but sure."
"Please don't send me home. I have friends here and if I go home my mother will never forgive me." I begged. He seemed surprised by my words.
"Who are your friends?" He asked.
"Rapunzel, the girl you just met and Elsa she's next." I started biting my lip in nervousness.
"All of the other girls flirted with me. Why haven't you?"
"I'm not really interested. You seem like a great guy but not really my type. I would rather be your friend than your wife." I admitted. He nodded processing what I had said.
"So you want to be friends?" He asked curiously. I nodded. "Sure. That actually sounds nice. With all of these girls to choose from it would be nice to have someone to talk to about it."
"So you're not going to send me home? " I asked hopefully.
"Not until you ask me to." He smiled. Than I did something unexpected. I hugged him. He returned it and lightly kissed my cheek.
I pulled away and smiled.
"See you around Merida." He winked. I escorted myself out and watched Elsa head in. I realized she was the last girl to meet the prince. As I sat down Punzie attacked me with questions.
"Mer are you blushing?" She squealed.
"No. And be quiet before Prudence cuts our heads off." I chuckled. Punzie rolled her eyes.
"So what happened in there?" She asked curiously.
"Nothing you need to worry about." She huffed and sat back in her seat. We waited for Elsa to come out.
