I hugged each of my brothers and my father. I waved to my mother as Hiccup ushered me out of the house. The ride to the airport was awkward but seemed to fly by. In no time we were at the airport.
When we got there he started loading the plane with my luggage and I waited for the other girls to arrive. Their were four other girls coming on the plane with me.
As soon as the first walked in I recognized her. Astrid Hofferson, a six, came in looking rather lovely, which made me feel self concious. My mother would never forgive the fact that a six looked better than me but luckily, soon it would matter.
"Hi I'm Merida. It's nice to meet you." I introduced myself as she approached.
"Astrid." She gave a slight wave. At least she acknowledged me.
Next to come in was Rapunzel Corona, a five. She was radiant and her golden hair shaped her face perfectly.
"Hi! I'm Rapunzel!!!" She squealed excitedly. Other than the over enthusiasm, this girl would probably be a good friend. Astrid gave her the same treatment so she approached me.
"The names Merida." I introduced.
"You have a wierd accent!" She giggled. I nodded. I had forgotten about my accent, no one had mentioned it before.
After Rapunzel, a gorgeous girl who I recognized immediately walked in. Her platinum blond hair was a dead give away.
Elsa Arendelle. Twice as beautiful as Rapunzel, Astrid and I combined."Hello." She smiled walking up. Rapunzel jumped on the chance and introduced herself right away.
"Rapunzel Corona!" She introduced.
"Uh I'm Elsa. " She smiled weakly. You could see the fear in her eyes.
"That's Merida. The other blond is Astrid but she doesn't talk much." Rapunzel explained. Elsa still looked somewhat afraid so I pulled Rapunzel away.
"Sorry about her, she's a bit excitable." Elsa let out a tiny laugh.
"Thanks but she's not so bad. She reminds me of my little sister. Anyways its nice to meet you. I'm so happy there are nice people here." She said with a huge sense of relief. I nodded in agreement.
"Yeah, I thought they would all be prissy, competitive biaches. " I chuckled. Elsa seemed a bit taken aback by my language. "Sorry..." I laughed sheepishly.
"No its fine. I have said worse." She winked.
The last girl arrived. Her name was Vanessa Caroll, a two. She barely even noticed our existence. She just walked by as if she owned the place. She went straight on the plane. We all shrugged and followed and soon we were up in the air. I sat with Rapunzel and Elsa while the other two just minded their own buisness.
"So Rapunzel, are you excited?" Elsa asked.
"Yeah but both of you should call me Punzie or Punz or something. Rapunzel is such a long name." She stated. We both nodded.
"Most people call me Mer." I added giving them my own nickname.
"My sister calls me Elsie." Elsa contributed. We all giggled.
"Elsie, Punzie and Mer!" We all smiled.
"Now I know this is supposed to be a competition but I really want to be friends." Elsa sighed.
"Sure!" Punzie exclaimed excitedly.
"The three musketeers." I suggested. They nodded and we hugged.
We were soon advised to take our seats and we did. We landed in front of Burgess castle and I knew my life was about to get really complicated. Hiccup escorted me to the room and I saw my worst nightmare. So many ball gowns. This whole selection thing was going to be a disaster.
