I feel that there's something going to happen.
Someone opened the door and pumasok ang isang assistant teacher. " Good Morning Class F students, pinapatawag kayo sa auditorium. Lahat ay required pumunta. That's all, thank you," the assistant teacher said and went out.
Pumunta kami sa Auditorium and I know this is a big announcement. Lahat ng students ay nandito ngayon. Tumabi ako kay Erin. Class E students ang nasa harap namin. Malapit kami sa stage. I could hear them saying how excited they are about what the big fuss is all about.
"Look! Class-A students are here also," someone shouted. Humihiyaw ang iba while some of them are waving. "Ay, wala si Eric." sabi ng isa. I was about to turn my eyes at the stage when I saw Matthew looking at me. Lumaki ang mata ko and held my breath. Tumigil siya sa paglalakad and smiled. He continued to walk noong may kumalabit sa kaniya na another Class-A student.
Tumingin ako ulit sa stage. Umakyat ang assistant student sa may podium. "Welcome A6 students, you are here today to hear good news from our beloved principal. Let's give a round of applause to Mrs. Lyria Nathalie Faro."
Umakyat ang aming principal while smiling at us. "Good Morning, It's so great to see all of you here. I'll go straight to the point. As you know, being a Class-A student means that you are given a chance to lead the school in different competitions locally and internationally. It also provides great experiences and improves your abilities. For years, this Class only allows 10 students ,but the board decided to have another Class A student and the options are from any Class. We settled that the Special Class A student will be chosen by having a competition. This will be in different categories. It will also be an opportunity to enhance your abilities mentally, physically , and emotionally."
Well, this is certainly interesting. They answered every question in my head except one, why? "Sali tayo!" sigaw ni Erin malapit sa tainga ko sabay uyog. Naghiyawan ang buong auditorium. "Alright, hold on, silence. This event will have judges and advisers of course. Another good news is we have someone who will help us run this event. She's a second honor student from Lux University. She also won several international competitions. Lets welcome Cassandra Nicole Villanueve," the principal announced.
I stood up, my eyes widen and my jaw dropped. Casey went up the stage and bow to the audience. Tiningnan ko siya with a shocked expression. She smirked and winked. "Wow, she's really pretty," someone commented. "Nakapasa siya sa tout-puissant diba? A prestigious school in France," sabi ng isa.
So this is what she was talking about. I grinned and sat down. "For now, why don't you go back to your classes and your adviser will give a form to each of you. Fill out the form if you are willing to join and be here 3pm this afternoon for an orientation. Thank you and hope to see you later," the principal said and went down the stage.
Tumayo kaming lahat and lumabas na. On our way out naisipan ko na kausapin si Cassandra. Umiling ako at kumaway. "Kita tayo mamaya," saad ko.
I texted Casey;
C, what a surprise! Can we talk? Meet me outside the library. Just go left and then right from the entrance of the auditorium. - X
I waited outside for a couple of minutes and then she arrived. "Squeee! I like your expression when I was on the stage!" she said and hugged me tight. "Ca-sey, ca-can't breathe," sabi ko and binitawan niya ako. "Omg! I'm so sorry," she stated. I laughed, "It's okay, can you tell why are you here or why did they invited you to be a judge. What's the reason behind all of this?" I asked.
"Curiosity kills huh," she said and smirked. I rolled my eyes playfully, "Oh come on, tell me please. I'm your childhood friend" I begged. "Nope. Join the competition and I'll tell you. I bet it will be easy for you," she stated. "No, I have no intention of being a class-A student," I said. She just shrugged and said, "Oh well, I guess you will never know why and I know you want to find out what's the reason so bad," she said and laughed.
"Alright then, you know I'm still going to figure it out on my own," I responded. She nodded, "I'm aware, besides, you're a smart girl who knows how to turn things around," she said and smiled. I chuckled, "Yeah, yeah. Well, It's so nice to see you again," I said and hugged her. "Missed you too Xy," she said and hugged me back.
"Look at the time, I need to go now. I still want to talk to you but I have a class to attend to," I explained. I was about to go when the library door opened. My eyes widen because I didn't expect someone to be here since everyone was in the auditorium. Nagkatinginan kami ni Casey at kinabahan.
Lumabas ang isang familiar na student.
It was Eric.
