After Second Challenge

Third Person's POV

"Where are you right now?" Cassandra asked while walking on the corridor. Kakatapos lang ng event at hinahanap niya ngayon ang taong nag text sa kaniya. The guy on the other side of the phone line hesitated to tell her where he is but decided that it would be nice to meet her again. "I'm on my way to Uncle Rain," he answered and went inside the car. "Wait, he invited you also? Let's just meet there," she said. Two days ago, Mr. Rain asked them to meet him at his mansion to discuss a few things. Hindi makapaniwala si Cassandra na nandito na kaagad si Drake Rocheniere. Ang alam kasi niya ay sa susunod na buwan pa siya darating. Nagpaalam siya sa Class-A students bago pumunta sa bahay ni Mr. Rain.

After half an hour, nakarating na si Cassandra sa mansion. Medyo kinakabahan siya sapagkat ngayon niya lang ulit makakausap si Mr. Rain about a serious matter. Napansin niya na nakapark na rin ang sasakyan ni Drake sa labas at mukhang nasa loob na. Ang tagal niya nang hindi nakita ang mansion ni Mr. Rain. 

Behind the iron gates, a cobblestone walkway leading to the large double door of the three floor mansion made of white marble and granite can be found. Memories came flooding back. Napangiti siya nang makita niya ang water fountain kung saan silang tatlo naglalaro noong mga bata pa sila.

Pumasok na siya ng mansion. Lumapit si Mr. Pablo, ang right hand man ni Mr. Rain. He bowed his head, "Good afternoon Ms. Villanueve," he said. Cassandra warmly smiled and bowed her head as well, "Good afternoon," bati niya pabalik. "Maitriser and Mr. Rocheniere are waiting for you in the living room," saad niya at itinuro gamit ang kaniyang palad. Tumungo kami sa living room kung saan makikitang nakaupo sina Mr. Rain at Drake habang nagkukuwentuhan. Nag bow si Mr. Pablo at umalis na.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Rain," Cassandra uttered at nag bow. "Cassandra! it's so good to see you," tugon ni Mr. Rain at tumayo sa kinauupuan niya. "Same here uncle," sagot ni niya at niyakap si Mr. Rain. "Long time no see Casey," bati ni Drake and hugged her. "You didn't tell me na mapapaaga pala ang uwi mo," she replied. He chuckled, "I wanted to surprise you," sabi ni Drake. "Take a sit," saad ni Mr. Rain at umupo na rin. He took a sip from his cup and cleared his throat. "I told Drake na since next month pa naman siya kailangan sa event ninyo, I asked him kung maaaring pumunta siya rito ng mas maaga para naman mapag-usapan ang upcoming event," sabi ni Mr. Rain. Napakunot ng noo si Cassandra dahil hindi niya alam kung anong event ang tinutukoy ni Mr. Rain.

"What event uncle?" she asked. "High Society members need to have its core that consists of High Society members. Since malapit na ang mga fourth generation maging eighteen, I decided na it's time to pass the core positions to your generation," he explained. Nagulat silang pareho at nagkatinginan ni Drake. "Bu-but sir, don't you think it's too early? I don't think the fourth generation is ready. Moreover, she's not yet ready" tanong ni Drake. Umiling si Mr. Rain, "She has to be, tumatanda na ako and I need to secure na maayos ang lahat dahil hindi natin hawak ang oras," saad niya at kinuha ang pocket watch sa bulsa niya. "I see," Cassandra uttered at tumingin muli kay Drake.

Itinago muli ni Mr. Rain ang pocket watch. "I know this might be too much to ask, but you know that the core has six positions which means there are six families and kasama kayo roon. You have to know that someone is just waiting around the corner na mawalan ang Ashwell ng heir," paliwanag niya. Tumango si Drake, "I understand uncle. What do you want us to do?" tanong niya. "I asked Leon na bantayan si Xyra to check her condition and based on his report, he thinks that she can already handle it. What I want you to do is to help her get through the things she needs to do. Alam ko na kayong dalawa ang pinagkakatiwalaan niya," sabi ni Mr. Rain.
