Chapter 13

(Flashback) At the beach, 7 years ago

It was a beautiful sunny day on the beautiful beach with the beautiful ocean filled with Mobians cooling off from the dreadful heat surfing or just making sand castles. On the edge of a big boulder looking out the sea with her pink hair flowing in the wind is 7-year old Amy Rose wearing a red bikini with yellow hearts. But suddenly two tall thugs that are teenagers came up on the boulder and smirked at Amy.

Thug #1: Hello cutie, what a girl like you doing up in here when you should be having fun with us?

Amy got scared, got up from the edge and faced the thugs with fear in her eyes.

Amy:I wasn't doing anything, just looking at the ocean. And I don't want to go with wierdos like you now leave me alone!

Thug: #2: Or what?! You're going to run back with your mommy and daddy?!

Amy:I don't need them, I can take care of myself! And I'll scream really loud if you don't leave!

Thug #1:Alright, then let's just hear those threatening screams of yours!

One of the thugs grabbed Amy by the hair and lift her up on the ground. Amy was having tears streaming from her eyes and she was squirming widely from the thugs grip.

Amy:NO!!! LET ME GO, LET ME GO!!! HE-

The poor pink hedgehog was punched on the face by the other Thug who had an annoyed look on his face. She got a little dizzy and is even more scared but still haven't given up on trying to get away from the thugs. It seemed like there is no hope for her...but...

???:HEY, WHAT DO YOU JERKS THINK YOU'RE DOING LET GO OF HER!

Everyone looked at a 10 - year old blue hedgehog who has a mad brave look on his face.

Thug #1: And who the heck are you suppose to be?

Sonic:I'm Sonic...Sonic the Hedgehog! Now just who do you are, messing with innocent girls that are way younger than you?!

Thug #2:You actually believe a pipsqueak like you can stop us!

Sonic:I might not look like it but I'm stronger than you think!

Amy:No, just get out if here save yourself! They're too strong for you!

Sonic:Just try me, miss I'll save you no matter what!

When Amy heard Sonic the brave determined words, she blushed.

Thug #2:Alright, of you're so confident than bring it on!

Thug #2 charged towards Sonic but he spin dashed on his stomach which made the Thug hold his stomach in pain. Then Sonic kicked him hard on the face which made the Thug fall on the boulder amd fell out of unconsciousness. Amy and the other Thug was in shock of how strong Sonic really is. But the Thug got a plan and holds Amy getting ready to drop her in the ocean.

Thug #1:I have enough if this nonsense! If you want to save your girlfriend, then do it...in the ocean!

Sonic: NO DON'T DO IT!

The Thug ignored Sonic and drop Amy as she falls toward the ocean. The blue hedgehog foot off the boulder to dive to Amy to hold her in his arms. Amy was shocked and had a wonderful feeling in her heart that made her blush from happiness which is...love...and they both fell in the water. Amy let's go of Sonic and about to swim to the surface but noticed that Sonic isn't doing the same thing. She sees him struggling to swim but he just goes down instead of swimming up. She then realized that Sonic can't swim. She blushed and swam to Sonic to hold on to him and goes up out the surface. They gasped for air and coughed up the water from thier lungs.

Amy:Are you insane hedgehog?! First you tried to take on two teenagers that are way taller than you and now you came to the water with me knowing that you can't swim?!

Sonic:Wow, I saved you amd this is the thanks I get!

Amy: SAVED me?! You didn't do much of anything except knock out one of the thugs which was a waste of time!

Sonic:Whatever, at least I tried to save you being the bravest I can be.

Amy blushed and had a guilty look on her face.

Amy: Sorry, hedgehog...that was very kind of you to do that and thanks even though you haven't saved me.

Sonic:No problem, by the way what's your name?

Amy: I'm Amy Rose...you're Sonic right.

Sonic:Yep that's right...now can we please get to shore already....I don't like water.

Amy: Alright, and then maybe we can hang out for a bit and get to know each other.

Sonic: Sounds good to me

The hedgehogs swam back to the beach and they played around the rest of the day while the thugs were arrested.
