Shadamy : Let Love Take Flight

Chapter 8

(Flashback) At a day care

Whenever her father has to go to GUN for work, Shannon had no choice but to go the day care since she might accidentally trash the whole house or a thief might break in the house and hurt Shannon. In the day care are a bunch of other kawaii toddlers of different species being happy, playing together...well except Shannon who is always alone having no friends being a loner. She's actually being bullied because of the fact she has a hedgehog for a father instead of a bat, her blonde golden hair, and that she can't fly. She never told anything about it to her father since he might kill the bullies or the bullies' parents which would be fun to watch but Shannon doesn't act that way. She would just make a fake smile once her father comes to pick her up but she sometimes couldn't hide the sadness and Shadow would notice it and ask if she's okay and Shannon would lie by saying that she's feeling a little sick. One day, Shannon went to the park of the daycare where she sees a bunch of kids playing and she began to run to them having a friendly face.

"Hey can I play too?!"

The kids stopped playing and narrowed thier eyes at Shannon who stopped running and backed away a little shivering a little in fear.

"No way, go away you freak."

"We do not like you lemonhead."

"What a loser."

The kids started laughing still calling her mean names. Shannon sad sighs and walks to the swings where a raccoon and iguana were already there but they left as soon as she sat down on the seat of a swing. That made Shannon make a sad look. She began to swing back and forth looking at the beautiful blue sky.

"Why no one wants to be my friend? What is with me that make people be mean to me? What is wrong with me?"

All those questions were swimming in her head but suddenly a bully group of three walked towards Shannon. There's a fox, a monkey, and a tiger. The fox grabbed on the chain of the swing which made Shannon fall on the ground which the impact scraped her leg and blood started to come out and the wound was starting to hurt Shannon. She began to cry but the monkey grabbed some sand from a sand box and threw it at Shannon face which made her stop crying but she's only whimpering and she tried to wipe the sand off her eyes.

"Be quiet blondie, your crying is so annoying!"

"Awww are you crying like a big baby?"

"This is our swings so get lost!"

Shannon tried to be brave by trying to stand up buy fall back down cause her legs are shivering in fear which shows that she's still getting scared and also the pain from the wound.

"No one said the swings are yours, it's ever one swings!"

"You think you are so tough shortie?! Let's see if you are!"

The three bullies began throwing a bunch of sand at Shannon as a bunch of toddlers came to watch the scene not doing anything to stop them.

"Stop it, stop it!!"

The three bullies finally stopped.

"Make sure you do not mess with us again or we hurt you bad"

"Bye poo-poo head!"

The three bullies walked away and th e other kids began laughing at Shannon who has sand all over her body. She began to have tears streaming from her eyes and began to cry loudly and she ran past the crowd to a dark corner next to the day care building and she sat down pulling her knees close to her chest and began crying into them.
