After the awkward moment, Shadow and Amy watch the little bat as she she looked up at the sky to see a small flock of birds soaring high in the skies and imagined flying with them.
Shannon: I can not give up. Daddy, Ames, and me had work super super SUPER hard for me to fly. I will not let then down. They believe in me...and it will make me strong.
Shadow:Alright honey, remember to natural flap your wings too fast or you would get tired and fall!
Amy:And be careful to not hurt yourself!
Shannon nodded and stepped back a little and took a deep breath. She started to flap her wings in a steady rhythm. She then started to run off the edge still moving her wings up and down. She jumped off and she focused only on a bird that she wanted to follow so she won't get scared and screw up her flying. She actually began to soar high through the sky without falling. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN SHE FINALLY STARTS TO FLY!!! Amy and Shadow both smiled brightly full of joy.
Shannon:Ames, daddy I'm flying!! I did it!!
Amy:Yeah Shanny you go girl!!
Shadow: I'm so proud of you baby girl!!
Amy and Shadow both hugged each other out of happiness...but this is not by accident this time it's really for real. Shannon catches up to a flock of birds and flies with them while twirling around having a jolly good time feeling like she can accomplish anything.
At night time
After such a long day, Shannon and the hedgehogs decided to camp out for the night since the train to go back to Amestris won't be coming till the next day. They ate thier picnic that they brought with them which made thier tummies full. The stars were shimmering brightly in the night sky and the moon was illuminating the forest. Shannon was flying around chasing fireflies that are glowing up the night while Shadow and Amy are next to each other on front of the camp fire they made.
Shadow: Shannon, don't you think you flew enough for one day
Shannon: Of course not, I can fly all night
Shadow: Oh my gosh this child..
Amy: Give the child a break, she looks like she never felt so alive to see the world under feeling like the tallest toddler in the world
Shadow:Yeah I guess you're right, and I'm glad she is...and Ames
Amy:Yes Shads?
Shadow:Thank you...for being there for us amd for everything basically
Amy:No problem Shads and thank you for everything as well
Shadow:You're welcome
Amy and Shadow saw Shannon landed back on the ground looking exhausted and yawned
Shadow:Looks like you can't fly all night after all sweetie
Shannon:No..I'm not...I am still...awake
Amy:You don't need to act so tough Shanny, you need to get rest for tomorrow.
Shannon: Okay Ames...daddy can Ames tuck me in to sleep tonight?
Amy was both shocked and honored but she still smiled sweetly at Shannon.
Amy:I really don't mind, I can do it
Shadow: Alright I'll just leave you two alone then.
Shannon: Okay...goodnight daddy love you daddy
Shadow:Love you too sweetheart
Shadow kneeled down to Shannon and kissed on her forehead and leaves the two girls alone
