The next day I picked Sammi up from the hospital. I don't like kids, but she was extremely different. She kind of reminded me of my other sister. I've only seen her three times. After the recent time they said I couldn't see her anymore since I "almost" killed her. But to be honest I don't remember what happened. I blacked out and next thing I know I'm cleaning blood off my hands.
"Sammi how old are you?"
"6," she said while eating her fries.
I took her out for lunch and she acted like she never ate before. Well maybe, she has been in the hospital for half of her life now. All they eat there is dirt and rocks.
"That's the best age to be. Now Sammi I met someone the other day and he has a little sister around your age. If you'd like I can take you to play with her."
"Is she a demon too,"she said at barely a whisper.
"No she's like you and she needs a friend. "
Sammi smiled and I took that as a yes. So once she was done eating we went to Aniel's house. They must've took my advice because I could hear them inside. Why is that they're always fighting?
Sammi backed away behind me, while I knocked on the door. It became really silent inside and someone walked up to the door. It was Michael and he smiled wide.
"Aniel your crazy girlfriend is here!"
Oh wow. That's some statement. A statement that made Aniel come to the door looking red in the face. But why?
"This isn't really a good time," he said lowly. I furrowed my brows at him. "You can come back later."
He tried closing the door but my foot stopped it. "Whenever I come here is not a good time, so don't inconvenience me by letting me waste my time." He nodded and opened the door quickly. I smiled and walked in, bringing Sammi inside. "Thank you. This is Sammi by the way. Where is Sophia?"
"I'll get her."
He left to go find her and Sammi decided to wander about. I was about to stop her but then I thought whatever, let the kid do whatever. She can make a mess if she wants. Fuck shit up and leave, that's the best way to go to me.
A few minutes later there was a crash in the direction she went. Then there was the sound of a kid running my way. Sammi hid behind me, clenching onto my legs while I heard someone else come her way. I was too focused on Sammi that I had only a second to hold my hand out to stop some girl I've never seen before reach her.
"What's the problem?"
"She broke my grandmothers glass box," the girl screamed.
She was the same age as Aniel, the same height as me, had auburn hair, light blue eyes and an elf like face. There was this weird aura about her that screamed innocence but deceit at the same time. Weird.
"Sounds like a you problem to me."
She growled and rolled her eyes, storming away. I looked down at Sammi to see if she was hurt sure enough her pants had specks of glass in them and her knees looked blooded up.
"You're going to make me work hard aren't you kid," I said looking at her. I sighed and took her hand. "Come on let's get you cleaned up."
When I lifted her pants leg up I saw little specks of glass that somehow managed to embed itself in her knee. I pulled some out and cleaned the wounds. She didn't seem to be too fazed by the injury. She acted as if she just a paper cut.
"Hi," Sophia said from behind me.
"Where are you're bandaids." Sophia pulled some out of her pocket. "Thanks."
