**********

After the whole blacking out thing and starting to bleed, Death took me home. Like home home. It was a deal that if I went back I'd have to stay, so we had to do some sneaking around. It wasn't easy seeing as how Lucifer could've barged into my room at any minute once he caught scent of me. But Death assured me he wasn't going to come anytime soon due to another backup somewhere.

Death left for a quick second and brought back some people. Usually eating in my room is weird but this will have to do. I'm starving, weak and a bit disoriented. They were gone in no time and I was slowly reverting back to my old self.

"Do you recall how you started bleeding," death said pulling me closer to him.

"Nope. One minute I was by my car the next I was in the gym... Do you think my tires are still at the school. I actually paid for those you know."

He stared at me and walked away. "Your going off tangent."

I smiled at him and started ridding my room of any traces of indicting I was here for a second. "Maybe if you'd just ask or say what you want, instead of not so subtly checking for a change in me I wouldn't have to."

He paced the floor to get his thoughts together. I just kept burning and storing things away. If you were ever curious of my method of eating I'll explain why they need pain. One I'm literally the Devil's daughter. Two I'm also an empath, which means whatever emotion someone is feeling I feel it too. Half of the time I block that trait out, because that will seriously make me bipolar. When I don't I'm eating so, therefore the pain they feel or felt, I feel it and it's feeding my appetite. Not sure why pain is the way to go, but it's easier. Honestly dying happy is hard to do in a time where you just want to kill.

Death was about to say something, but my phone started to ring. "What, Kali?"

"Hey Belle," she said shakingly. "I'm sorry if this is a bad time. I just really needed to tell you beforehand you know."

I huffed and went back to the apartment on earth with Death following behind. There was no need to stay any longer in hell. "Again I'll say. What, Kali?"

She was quiet for a second like she walked away. "Well mom isn't in a good mood."

"Shocker," I said sarcastically. "She seems like she's always in a pleasant heavenly mood. Oh do tell what put a dent in her halo this time."

"I'm serious Belle," she snapped. "I'm trying to be help you, so can you listen and cut the act for once?" There was a pause. I'm listening, but she needs to hurry. "Mrs. Smith invited her over for dinner. Naomi wanted to have you and Death over as well. I don't know, why. Alastor, knows this isn't going to go well so now he's going," Kali said quickly and caught her breath to keep going. "Mom doesn't want him there because well... You. But he pushed her over the limit a little and got his way. Now you know when he gets his way and she's mad someone is getting the backfire. That someone is pointing to you right now. And before you think you can get out of this, Alastor mainly did this so he could see you."

Well... That's all I can really say. I mean there's more but where would I begin. I do want to know why Naomi thought it was such a great idea to have me and my mother together. Is she dumb or dead? Or both?

"Alrig-"

"Kali, Lucero is here," Amia said in the background.

My stomach fell at the sound of her. Out of unexplainable panic, I hung up. I need to focus on what I'm going to do. Thinking juice is a must right now.
