"Leave her alone," he growled.

"Leave Raine alone," I screamed like the Britney Spears guy.

He pushed me back into the wall. I laughed and got up pulling my knife out holding it at Raine's throat.

"I won't lose sleep over this, Tavis, so either cooperate or I'll kill her," I told him calmly.

He looked at her and nodded at me. So I took us back to my place. All of us, I still need leverage. We were back in the apartment and I still had Raine by the throat.

Death and Aniel were arguing but that ceased when I got there. I nodded at them towards the backs. They left and I set Raine down, making her immobile. I took her voice away too. Tavis was freaking out a bit but she'll be alright. No real damage was done to her. It's all in her head. The pain is there, but no proof of it will stay.

"I'm here, now what," he asked smugly.

I arched my brow at him and set my knives down on the table. They were starting to bother me in my back pocket. Wouldn't want to accidentally sit on those. That would ruin my whole thing.

"I want my sister. You know the one you took from me. I believe we call her Amia does that name ring a bell?"

"And what makes you think I know where she is?"

I picked up one of the knives and flung it into Raine's shoulder. He jerked forward but I twisted his insides.

"Easy. It must've slipped, but I think you should start telling me something, before this slip becomes a fall."

"Okay," he held up his hands in defeat. "I don't know where she is. Cable won't tell me. All of this is his plan. He only tells me what to do. You're better off interrogating Tyla she knows more than I do."

I tsked at him and flung another knife down into Raine's knee. Her face contorted into a scream, but unfortunately for her nothing came out and will come out. He should just really answer the question.

"You've got to know when to hold em', know when to fold em', know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money while your sittin' at the table...." I sat next to Raine and caressed the knife in her knee. "Did you know, Raine, that after you two bonded that-"

"Okay," Tavis yelled. "Cable trapped her in limbo. I don't know which area she's in he doesn't say much anymore."

I wanted more but they were yanked from me. The only things left was my knives. This is why I can't stand certain beings, they don't know when to share. They always get scared and take away my people.

I huffed and swung at the wall. Man, I need to stop doing that, I'm running out of places to hit and I just hit a stud.

"Son of a Bitch!" I went to the back and saw Death and Aniel sitting there quietly. "What were you two arguing about?"

"Nothing, we just had a little disagreement. It's better now." Death put his arm around his shoulder. "Right Aniel?"

I shook my head there won't be a clear answer. Death probably threatened him or messed with his mind. Or maybe played on the thin line of life and death.

"I don't care. I want to talk to Aniel alone. You can go."

"I'm not leaving this apartment."

I rubbed my head in irritation. I really don't have time for this right now. "Death I'm seconds from actually killing off a state. Leave." He did and I turned my attention to Aniel. "What were you going to tell me about Amia or was that memory taken from you."
