Tray's POV

I brought Amelia into her home and laid her gently on the bed. She started shivering, which was odd, so I covered her with the blankets at her feet. I laid on the other side of the bed wrapping my arm around her waist. I kissed the crook of her neck softly before falling asleep just as she had.

Beeeeeeeeeeeep

"No! Someone help her!" She was gone again. How could I let her slip away again? How could I?

Her hair was black instead of red, her skin was almost purple.

She was dead, and she wasn't even the same girl anymore.

When I woke up from the short dream, somehow it was already morning. Amelia was still asleep and I needed to see Haden. I first made breakfast for my queen and wrote her a note to assure that I'll be back soon.

Although I had a huge amount of anxiety about leaving her alone, I know I needed to see Haden. I had to set some things straight because there are a few things I was still confused about.

When I reached Haden's house, I gently knocked and waited until he answered.

"Hey." He stared at me for a a second in disbelief. He blinked a few times and then realized I was actually there.

"I'm sorry. I know it wasn't you and I should've listened to you. I was blinded by the pain of losing Amelia, and I had to blame anyone I could. I'm sorry, Haden." He smiled and took my hand, pulling my into a hug. We stood there for a minute letting the forgiveness hang around us before pulling back.

He stepped aside to indicate for me to go in, so I did. We sat on the couch watching tv and drinking cold beers, but also talking. We talked about a lot like we always do.

"So you're still Alpha right?" I stopped for a minute to think. "You know," I started, "I'm not too sure." We laughed and brushed it off.

We fell into a silence and watched the tv. Stupid commercials came on and that was the only thing to fill the deep silence. It wasn't an awkward silence, it was just a thinking silence.

When a Zales commercial came on, the boy smiled at the girl and then he proposed. The girl cupped her mouth in surprise, her eyes started tearing up and she said yes.

"I want to marry her." I blurted out. I was shocked after I realized what I said. I was even more shocked when I knew it was true.

"Yeah that chick was hot but I prefer blondes you know?" Haden said referring to the actress on the commercial. "Yeah." I agreed but continued to think about what I said.

I could see her walking down the aisle in a white dress with her beautiful orange eyes staring at me with love. I smiled at the thought.

One day.

I could imagine a little girl like Amelia and a small boy like myself, running around the house yelling. Amelia tries to calm them down but ends up chasing them while they laugh. Then, I would come home from work and gather all of them in my arms.

I sighed, a full grin from ear to ear covered my face.

"What are you so smiley about?" Haden asked, clearly amused. I shook my head, still smiling. "I'm just thinking." I shrugged and he chuckled, mumbling about how I was losing my mind.
