Iris's P.O.V.
I was watching Jeff box. It was strange, but the swift movements and punches were very fascinating. He turned and smirked at me. "You checking me out?" he asked. "In your dreams." I laughed. He rolled his eyes.
He threw one punch and let out a shriek of pain. I shot up and ran to his side. "Are you okay?" I asked. He looked at me and gave me a cocky smirk. "Oh, I'm fine. I just wanted to see your reaction. I knew you worried about me." I slapped him clear across the face. "Jack ass... And I don't care. At all." I stood and walked out.
I went into his backyard. I missed Zach more than anything. I missed his thick glasses, annoying and sweet attitude... Cute face. Yes, I liked him. He was important to me. I was hoping for us to be a couple, but a part of me knew that was never going to happen, thanks to Jeff.
I sighed and played with a stick for a minute. Man, was I bored. I didn't want to see Jeff, I couldn't remember where BEN lived, and I barely knew anyone else.
"Iris, it was just a joke... Please don't ignore me." I didn't turn around. "You shouldn't do that. It scared me." He crept up on me and put his hand on my shoulder. "Iris, I just... It was only a joke. I didn't mean to freak you out like that." I turned to him. I walked away. "Jeff, you're my friend. I worry about you... Much to my dismay. I hate how I worry about your safety. I hate that we're friends..."
He was blushing. "What? What are you looking at me like that for?" I asked. "No reason." He and I went into the living room. "So... What do you want to do?" he asked. "Go home... But I could live with watching some of my favorite anime..." I ran to the television, found Death Note, aand laid back.
We were relaxing until L came on screen and I made a fan girl scream... Admittedly, I thought he was the sexiest guy in all of anime. Jeff got a funny look on his face. "Well, he sure looks familiar... I think I've seen him before in the mirror..." I glared. "You and L don't look a thing alike. He has sexy, spiky black hair, smart and mysterious eyes, and pale skin. He smirked and pointed, revealing he had all of the same features. "We're practically the same person. But I'm too impatient to be a detective... And I'd cause all of my crimes..." I loomed back and forth... It was crazy... He was right. "But... L is so hot... And you're Jeff!" He smiled. "I know I'm beautiful."
He and I watched a few episodes. 'Why did you take me?" I asked. "... I won't tell. Sorry, but I just won't. And don't ask again." I crossed my arms. "Whatever..."
There was a knock at the door. "It's probably you know who." I sighed. I walked over and opened the door, which caused my jaw to drop.
BEN was holding an iris flower and blushing a deep red. "Hello, Iris... You look pretty today... This is for you." He handed the iris to me. "Awwwwww... How sweet." I smelled the iris. "And.. I was wondering if you... Maybe... Perhaps... Wanted to come to my house to watch... A movie? It would be really fun... I could make you dinner, and I could treat you really well..." This was such a tempting offer... He was sweet, and turning him down was nearly impossible.
Thankfully, I didn't have to. "Sorry, BEN. Iris is with me tonight. We will be having dinner, and watching an old DVD that I've wanted to show her for a while." BEN began to cry a bit. "BEN, are you crying?" I asked softly. "I... I have to go... See you guys later..." He ran away, crying loudly as he ran. "Aww, Jeff... He's crying... Poor guy..." Jeff shrugged. "Little dips hit cries a lot. Ignore him."
Jeff grabbed my arm. "Let's watch that DVD now. I think it may interest you."
Jeff put it in. I saw a kid with long, deep brown hair playing cowboy with a bunch of little kids at a birthday party. "This was some guys camera that was filming it. I just stole it."
They played for a little while until three kids hopped the fence with two other kids. They approached the brown haired kid and began to beat on him. The other kids pulled guns. Jeff who was sitting next to me looked close to tears. "Watch..." he whispered. The brown haired kid took the beating for a little while longer again, until he finally snapped. He began to beat on what looked to be the main kid of the three. He hit him until he stopped breathing. The other kids attacked him, causing him to go berserk. "Who is this kid?" I asked. "Watch." After a long time, the kid had hit killed one of the boys, but the other and him were both covered in vodka and bleach. The last boy fighting the long, dark haired boy took out a lighter and threw it on him, setting him ablaze. Jeff was in tears, and I turned the TV off. It ended on parents trying to out the kid out.
"... That boy was you, huh?" I asked. "... Yeah..." I wrapped my arms around him and began to hum a song. "Don't cry, Jeff. It's okay..."
