Jeff's P.O.V.
Iris and I were both rushing things back and forth. "No, idiot, that chair goes over here! What the fuck are you thinking?" Iris snapped at me. "Ah, ladies and gentleman, I present to you, the calm, gentle bride." I said sarcastically, pointing at Iris. "Oh, yeah, it's my fault you thought a chair should be facing away from the aisle. Great logic." She and I stared for a while, before she sighed and looked down. "Look, the wedding is in a few days and I'm feeling stressed. I'm sorry for yelling, though."
I put my hand on her shoulder. "Iris, get some rest. I want you to go take a nap, I can finish." She looked up at me and smiled. "Thanks... I'm exhausted."
She looked back at me one more time before running off in the direction of the house. I let out a sigh and began fighting with the motherfucking chairs... Again. "Just... Open!!!" The chair closed around my hand. "GAAAAAAAH!!! FUCKER!!!" I began to scream and try to wrestle the chair off my hand. "Fucking chair!" I threw the chair down, screaming my lungs out. I looked at my hand. It wasn't broken or sprained, and it moved decently, but man did it hurt.
I began to blow on my hand like an idiot. After calming down, I continued the setup. I had quite a few friends coming from the underworld, which was nice. Aka Manto, Slit Mouth Woman, Dr. Smiley, Bloody Mary, and many more.
When I finished, I laid against a nearby tree and relaxed. There were about thirty chairs sprawled, aligned with the aisle, just as Iris wanted. The long, pale white carpet. Iris would be walking down it in her dress, which I apparently wasn't supposed to see because it was "Bad luck." Frankly, I didn't really care if I saw it or not. What mattered is if she was happy with the dress.
I sat down on a chair. I couldn't believe that the girl who saved me from the drawer that toppled on me those years ago, the girl who said she would hate me forever, was going to be mine forever. It felt weird, as I thought that I would be single forever.
I looked up to see Karen and Slender Man looking at me. The two of them had gotten married a little while ago. "Hello, Jeff. How are the wedding plans coming along? Good?" I nodded. "Yeah. Iris needed to take a rest, so I sent her home to take a nap." Slender Man stared at all the decorations. Everything was a pale white, except for the flowers. They were all thorny and blood red. "Iris and Karen planed this out. Haha, just like our wives to be good at something we aren't." laughed Slender Man. "Haha, yeah."
There was silence for a minute. "So... How's Iris been doing? You proposed last month, so it's been about three months since... The death of the baby. Is she doing better with that?" Karen asked. I nodded. "Much better. She's has her mind on the wedding. She hasn't even mentioned the baby. She stopped crying in her sleep a while ago." Karen nodded. "So... I'm a maid of honor. Cool, huh?" I nodded.
We all talked for a while about miscellaneous shit until it began to get dark. I headed home to Iris, where I found her waiting at the door. She had a worried faced.
"What's wrong, Iris?" I asked. She responded by jumping on me in a hug. "I was so worried!" she cried. I hugged her back. "Why were you worried?" She looked up. "I... I heard a rumor. It's nothing, really. We'll be fine." Iris took my hand and we walked inside, heading straight for the bedroom. I stripped down, deciding to sleep in nothing but boxers that night. Iris put on one of my shirts. I wrapped my arm around her and we fell asleep.
