Iris's P.O.V.

I pulled the pregnancy tester put of the cup and checked it. Minus means no baby, plus means pregnant. We'd been trying to get me pregnant for the past four weeks and I still wasn't.

Taking a deep breath, I turned it over. Plus. I felt a smile creep upon my face. The past four weeks, I'd began to think there was something wrong with me. Like, I was unable to have babies or something. This was a bit of a relief.

Jeff walked in. "Minus, again?" he asked sadly. "Nope. Plus." I laughed. He smiled and pulled me into a hug, then kissed me. "This is great! I'm so happy!" I pressed my face into his chest. "Should we tell everyone?" he asked. "I think we should plan a little, first. Like, do you want a boy or girl?" I responded. "A girl sounds nice..." He seemed to become lost in thought. "But I'm cool with a boy, too." I nodded.

"Names?" I asked. "Well... Hmm... If it's a girl... How about Jess?" he asked. I nodded. "Sounds cute... And if a boy?" I asked. "... I'm not sure." He shrugged. "How about... Artemis?" I asked. He raised his eyebrow. "That sounds a little too... Strange. But, hey, if it's what you want, then okay. Artemis is good. Artemis or Jess Philips. This will be so good for us, I bet." Jeff wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my cheek.

"Pretty soon, I'm gonna be all fat." I laughed. "It'll be worth it." Jeff said, smiling. "Yeah, it will." Smile came in and barked at us. "Hey, Shmile doggie!" I cooed, hugging the giant husky. "Pretty soon, I'm gonna be a Mommy! Cool, right?" I was delusional, talking to a dog. "Hey... What will we do about him?" Jeff asked. "What do you mean? Smile is fine?" He looked at my dog. "When I was ten, a neighbor of mine had a baby, only seventeen months or so." I kept quiet. "One day, by mistake, they left the kid on the floor to watch some kiddy shows and when they came back, their German Shepherd was eating the kid alive." I looked back up at him, then down to my stomach. "I don't wanna find my kid being eaten alive by Smile. If he hurts him or her, I'll kill the dog. Understand?" Jeff snapped. I looked down to Smile, who was panting and looking at him. I'd raised him from a pup... But Jeff had a good point. My baby had to come before Smile. I nodded.

Jeff helped me up and took my hand. "Iris, I love you very much. More than life itself... And I know the connections with that dog, but... I can't have him threatening my new family." Glancing one more time at Smile, I nodded. "Hey, we can keep the dog if he's no threat." I looked away. "I get it!" I yelled. I stood quiet for a minute. "Well... Let's announce it."

Jeff took my hand and we walked to the meeting house. I called everyone up and we waited until all of them arrived. Karen and Slendy were first, then Jack, then Masky, after him was his brother Hoody, last was BEN, who I hadn't talked to in forever. They all sat on the couches and chairs.

"What is it, Jeff? Karen and I were doing something!" snapped Slender Man. Jeff gave him a look. "Lemme guess. Was that something sex? 'Cause I remember plenty of times you interrupted Iris and I while we were at it!" Jeff snapped. Slender Man shut up and looked away. Jeff nodded.

"Iris and I have an important announcement." he explained. "What is it? Spit it out already!" snapped Masky. I glared at him and flipped him off. "Jeff and I... Well, we'll have a new little person with us in about nine months." There were a few surprised gasps and eyebrows rising. BEN stood up and left the room without a single word. He just left through the back door. Karen jumped up and hugged me. Though there was a little feud between us at first, we were becoming close friends. "Oh my god, Iris! I'm so happy for you! You're preggers! You're preggers! Preggy!" It was funny to see her so excited about my pregnancy, but she seemed to be happy, so I let her be. "Yeah... If you tackle hug me again, though, I'll beat the shit outta you."

"I can't believe you two are gonna be parents... You're sure as hell gonna be strange ones." Jeff and I smiled. "Ha... Poor Jeff... Can't wait to see Iris go through mood swings, weird cravings, sleepless nights, night terrors, and the pain of the baby kicking... Good luck with that." sighed Karen.

Jeff and I went home. I couldn't believe that after all of this struggle to have a child, I was finally pregnant. Jeff had a terrified look on his face. "What's wrong?" I asked. "Uh... Well... Karen kinda freaked me out with all of the talk about the negative effects of pregnancy." I laughed at him. "I'll try to be as sweet and calm as I can be... Without changing myself too much."
