Iris's P.O.V.

I put my backpack on. This was the first time I was going somewhere without Jeff. He was going to stay home and work on the nursery. I understood that he didn't want to see his mother in law.

Slender Man sent me out with Jeff's phone. I would call Slender Man when I wanted to be teleported out.

When I opened my eyes, I was in my backyard. It was a little late, but I didn't really care. I checked to see if my mom left the door open, and sure enough, she did. I threw the door open and ran in.

My mom was on her couch, watching television. When she turned her head, she looked surprised. "Iris, it's been so long! You just turned twenty a little while ago!" she exclaimed. "Yeah, I know..."

"So, why are you here?" she asked. Taking a deep breath, I showed her my ring finger. "You're... Married now? And you didn't invite me? I gave birth to you!" I glared at her. "Iris, I was teasing. God, you can be so angry and serious sometimes." she sighed. "Well... Not only am I married, but... Mom... I'm pregnant." I watched my mom's face light up as she hugged me tight. "I can't believe it! You're having a baby? This is amazing news! I'll be a grandma!"

I looked out the window and nearly screamed. There was an old homeless man staring at us, scraping at the windows. "M-Mom... Who the hell is that?" I asked. "Your father. He couldn't make a living for himself, so now he's a hobo." My mom's voice had a hint of venom in them. "Okay, Mom. Whatever you say, I guess."

She began to stare at my stomach for a long time. "Iris... Would you like to call your brother? We can call him, if you'd like." I remembered the day before was his birthday. There were so many birthdays of his that I'd missed... But I couldn't say yes. No one could know I was still alive besides my mom. Great. "No..." I whispered. She gave me a strange look and nodded.

My mother and I spent a long time together, just talking. She was giving me some tips on being a mom. I listened intently.

"Mom... Will I be a good mother?" I asked. "I don't know, Iris. You do have a bit of a temper but... I have faith in you."
