Jeff's P.O.V.
I held Iris's hand as we walked deeper into the thick forest. "We're almost to Zalgo's place. Just make it a bit longer, okay?" I asked. She nodded. I could tell she was about to buckle over, but she was being the strong girl I knew.
"So, Iris... We need to talk." I sighed as we continued to walk. "About what?" she asked. "Well... In the future... We need to think about having a kid... Like, WAY in the future... 'Cause eventually, I'm gonna want one. But you're the one carrying it around... What do you have to say about it?" I asked. "... I don't know. I don't think I'm gonna be a very good parent... What if I lose my temper?" she asked. "What if you don't? You never know. You may be a great mother." She shrugged. "I'll have to think about it..."
Eventually, we got to the castle. Iris and I stared at it for a while. "Ready to go home?" I asked her. "... Yeah." We entered the castle, both of us holding our breath.
When got to the main room, there was man sitting on the blood stained thrown. He had black hair that stopped a little above his shoulders and was wearing a suit. His eyes and mouth were both bloody, and unable to be seen.
"Hello. I wasn't expecting anyone." He stood up and walked over to us. "... Jeffrey, I presume?" I nodded silently. "And the woman with you... She is your lover, yes?" I nodded again. "Karen and BEN are both behind you... I am to assume you want my permission to leave?" Iris nodded. "Well... I can... But here's the catch. Each of you must tell one truth. Something you've been keeping up bottled inside. Go ahead..."
BEN looked at me. "I guess I can go first..." he whispered. "Iris... I don't think I'll ever move on from you..." he whispered. Zalgo smiled and nodded. "Alright. Karen, your turn." Karen nodded. "I don't trust Iris. She seems too... Rough." Iris glared for a minute. "What? What did I do to you?" she asked. "... You seem like a traitor. I honesty don't trust you." Iris ran up and bitch slapped her across the face, "I'm not a traitor." she hissed.
"Iris... Your turn." I whispered. "Oh..." She looked down for a minute. "I... I don't know... I don't really keep secrets... I guess there's one, though." She looked up at me. "I... I want to get married eventually." I stood frozen for a minute, then nodded. I didn't know she felt that serious about our relationship. "I guess... My turn." I sighed. "Iris... Before we met... I need you to know... My life wasn't worth shit. I had it decent, but I always knew a part of me was kinda... Missing. Then... We met. I've had no regrets with you." We all looked at Zalgo. "Alright... Karen, perform your ceremony." Karen nodded and began to chant something weird under her breath. Everything around me became slow and I watched as everyone was consumed by light. The last thing I did before I faded out was attempt to grab Iris's hand.
When I woke up, I was hanging by my hoodie on a tree. "How the fuck did I get up here?" I snapped, struggling a bit. I was stuck, no questioning it. There was no point in trying to move.
Laying a few feet away, Iris was still out. On top of her lay Karen, who was also out cold. I couldn't wait to see their reactions when they woke up. Under the tree was BEN, was unconscious. I needed to wake him up, so I wiggled my sneaker off until it fell down on his head. He woke up and let out a small, feminine yelp. "What is it?" he asked. "Oh, nothing much... Just hanging out." Okay, yes, that was a horrible pun. "Ah... I'll wake the girls up, then I'll help you down from there.
He tapped both of the girls with his shoe. When they woke up, they both jumped back, screaming. "Don't touch me! Don't touch me!" Iris screamed. After laughing for a minute, the branch I was hanging from fell and I was on top of Iris. "Get the fuck off of me!!!" she screamed. I scrambled up and helped her up. "Did we make it here?" I asked. I looked to my right and in the distance, I saw the top of a crumbling building. "Yeah... I think we did, Jeff." Iris said, putting her arm around me. "I think we did."
