Iris's P.O.V.
I sat on the couch upside down. "Hey, Jeff." I said as he walked into the room. "Uh... Iris... What are you doing up at three in the morning?" he said, giving me a weird look. "Nothing much. Just thinking." I responded, not looking at him. He sighed and sat next to me. "About what?" he asked. "Uh... Things. A lot of things." I was staring off into nothing.
"Iris, it's three in the morning. I'm not exactly in a great mood. What the hell are you thinking about at three in the morning?" I finally turned my head. "BEN... And someday starting a family with you." His eyes widened, if that was even possible. "Uh... I do want kids someday. Does that help? Can we go to sleep, yet?" I shook my head. "BEN... I broke his heart... I want to help him." Jeff put his hand on my shoulder. "Alright then, Iris... Can we go back to bed, now?" he asked, rubbing his forehead. "Sure..." I took his hand and we both went into the bedroom.
We laid next to each other, Jeff wrapping his arm around me. I felt him leave a trail of kisses up my neck. "Goodnight, Iris..." he whispered, leaving one last kiss. "Goodnight, Jeff... My sweet." I rarely said things like that. With that, I closed my sleepy eyes and drifted off.
"Iris... Wake up, Iris." Jeff was standing next to me. He looked concerned. "What is it?" I asked. "Uh... It's BEN... I swear, he's a dumb fuck..." His eyes looked full of pity. "BEN was on top of a building... One of the skyscrapers deep in this crumbling city... He jumped off." I felt tears come to my eyes. "He... He's dead...?" I asked. "No, he's immortal. He can't die permanently, hell just come back in a few minutes. He came back and is a lot of pain though. He wants to see you." I nodded and stood up. "Let's go see him." I quickly got dressed and grabbed Jeff by his arm and began to run out front.
"Wait... How did you know that he hurt himself?" I asked. "Uh... Pinkamena told me. Why?" My eyes went wide as I felt myself be pinned down from my left side. "Jeff... You're such a gullible idiot." snickered a familiar female voice. "Get away from her!" screamed Jeff. I looked up to see Jeff be grabbed from behind. A tall clown was holding him by his arms. "Iris!" Jeff called. "Jeff... I love you... I just... You should know that."
I closed my eyes and prepared for the worst. The funny thing is, it never came. Ever. I never felt any pain or stabs. When I looked up, BEN was holding Pinkamena's arm back, keeping her from stabbing me with her butcher's knife. "Don't even think about touching Iris..." he hissed. "I won't be pushed around by a midget!" Pinkamena shoved BEN and stabbed him right in the stomach, making me shriek and Jeff's jaw drop. He fell down and Pinkamena smiled at her victory. I got up and pushed her down. "You bitch! I should've just gotten rid of you the second you showed up. Now, I will chop your fucking head off!" I pulled the knife out of BEN and raised it. "Wait! Before you kill me, let me tell you, this wasn't my plan. At all. I was getting a trade, your head for a bunch of innards that I use for my cupcakes!" she squealed. "Who was giving these to you?" I asked. She glared at me. "Blow me." I raised the knife and chopped her head off, blood splattering all over my clothes. "Jeff... Won't she come back?" I asked. "It takes a full year for an immortal to recover from their head being cut off. You have a year." I watched as Laughing Jack stared at me in horror. "You... You BITCH!!!" he screamed. He dropped Jeff and charged at me. I screamed as I was swept up and thrown down on to the concrete floor. "Shit!" I squealed.
I was being held by my neck, pushed against a wall. I felt every last bit of life be drained out of me. "Iris! Let her go, you bastard!" Jack looked into my eyes and said, word for word, "A life for a life." His voice was cold cruel, and sinister. He seemed to say every word with more hate than I'd ever seen.
I felt him drop me, like a limp rag doll. I couched and hacked, trying to breath in. Every breath I took was gasped in. When I looked up, Jeff was stepping on the head of Laughing Jack, trying to crush his skull. Then, he leaned on one knee and quietly yelled "I don't know if you're dead yet, but if you aren't, then let me explain something to you. If you ever... EVER touch her like that again, I WILL beat you to shit. This isn't even close to the most pain I can cause you. Understand?" Jeff kicked his body a few feet. He was taking huge breaths.
It hurt when I tried to move, so I just laid where I was. "Iris!" Jeff was at my side, holding on my arm. "You okay?" he asked. I nodded. "Good. Here, let me help out." Jeff picked me up and carried me, bridal style. "You okay?" I asked him. "I'm fine." he said, stroking my hair gently. BEN sat up a few feet away, ripping the knife out of his stomach like it was a splinter. "Alright... I guess I'll go. Goodbye Jeff... Iris." He walked off, his shoulders slumped. "Poor guy..." I whispered. "Ignore him, Iris."
We walked off, going to our house. A part of me felt guilty. "Jeff... As soon as I feel better, let's go out. I have something I need to do." He smiled and nodded. "Okay, Iris. Sounds good. We'll do what you want to do, but then, we do something I want to do while we're out. Deal?" I nodded and sat up, kissing him fiercely and passionately. "Okay. Sounds good."
The next week, I was finally starting to feel better. Not great, but better. I put on a black hoodie that draped so that I wasn't recognizable. I put on a pair of jeans and the beautiful locket Jeff gave to me. "Iris... Whatever we do, we need to be smart and careful." I nodded. "Quiet, too. Leave no trace."
He took my hand. "So what are we doing?" he asked me. "Abducting a girl." I said, putting a pair of glasses on. "Why? Are you... Bisexual?" I shook my head. "No. It's just that BEN seems so lonely... I want to set him up with a girl." Jeff nodded. "That's generous. Playing matchmaker, hmm?" I nodded. "Yeah, I'm playing matchmaker. Shut up."
Slendy teleported us out of the area. He told us the usual "Be careful. Trust no one. Etcetera, etcetera." He can go on and on sometimes, I see why he annoys Jeff.
When we opened our eyes (Well, when I opened my eyes and Jeff took his hand off of his face.) and looked around, I recognized the area. It was an old alley behind my old school. It was cloudy and raining, and appeared to be the afternoon. There were teenagers fleeing the school holding umbrellas or wearing hoods, so we blended in just fine. Except for my sunglasses, which would look weird, but whatever.
We looked for hours, but we never found a girl that suited BEN. We were both exhausted, and just gave up. "Iris... I'm sorry we never found a girl for BEN." I shrugged. I was disappointed, but just kept moving. "Okay, so what do you want to do?" I asked. He looked away a bit. "Just... Wait here. I won't be long. I know where I'm going." Jeff ran off and returned with a bag a minute later. "Alright, we can go."
When we got home, BEN was standing out front our house. "What does he want now?" Jeff asked. I elbowed him. "He's lonely. Let's just see what is wrong."
We walked up and his eyes shot up. "... You guys need to leave." he said, his eyes spilling blood. "Why?!" I asked. "Slendy... He says you're both aggressive traitors. He also says you need to leave. He began to cry even harder. "I don't want you to go, Ir-... Guys. I don't want you to go!" I was beyond confused. Slender Man teleported behind BEN.
"How dare you two attack my new fiancé for no reason! Iris even chopped her head off! What were you thinking?!" screamed Slender Man. "What do you mean? ... Fiancé?" Jeff had a confused look on his face as he asked. "Pinkamena. Pinkamena, my fiancé. She meant a lot to me. Thankfully, being a slender man, I was able to resurrect her, keeping her from from having to wait a year. She told me all about you two attacking her. Then, she left her boyfriend, Laughing Jack, for me. I then proposed and now, we will be wed soon." She walked up. "Yeah. We see you both as traitors, so you have to leave. " She had an evil grin on her face. "Yes. You must leave the protection of the city-" I interrupted him. "So what? We'll figure something out! We... We'll go to my parents place! We don't need this city!" He was staring at me. "I'm sending you both to the underworld. You can't leave there."
BEN stood in front of us. "If you send them away then... Then I'm going with them. Send my where they were going." He turned to look at me briefly, then at Jeff. "I go with them." BEN snapped. Slender Man stood silently. "Are you sure, BEN?" Slender Man asked. BEN nodded. "Alright, then. You three are going to the underworld, from which you shall not return. I'm sorry it has to be this way." Everything around me began to swirl together and I blacked out.
