The Great Divide (Levi Ackerman X Fem!Reader) ON HIATUS!

Chapter 2

I stood up and when I went to brush off the dust and dirt that was on my clothes... That was when I realized I wasn't wearing jeans, a T-shirt, my favorite zip-up hoodie, and Converse like I was earlier. No, I was wearing something that I wouldn't wear unless it was a day/event that called for semi-formal attire. I was wearing a white high-low dress and my favorite black all-star converses were replaced by light brown leather combat boots, as well as my zip-up hoodie being replaced by a light blue silk and lace cloak that passed my ankles but didn't drag on the ground either. I felt a hood in the back and I put it up just in case there were people around so I could hide my face if need be, plus it just looked mysterious and cool. I was extremely confused and kept thinking this had to be a dream because it was all so surreal.

I freaked out thinking my phone would be missing and had a mini heart attack until I saw it lying on the ground next to where I was laying. I became confused as to why that, of all things, didn't disappear. I picked it up and looked at the time since my phone had an auto time-zone program for its clock turned on. It showed me the time for wherever I was and saw it was 4 PM. "Time zones are weird..." I started to walk around the seemingly abandoned small area of old buildings. It was probably a thriving town at one point and as I was wondering how it came to be abandoned I heard an inhuman scream that sounded familiar not too far away and walked towards it. It was like in those horror movies where one half of your brain said 'DON'T DO IT YOU IDIOT!' while the other half was like 'I hear noise and I'm really curious." Despite ALL OF MY FIGHT OR FLIGHT TELLING ME TO RUN, I ignored my better nature and decided to go and check out the noises I heard which actually sounded familiar. I tried to find a safe place to put my phone and decided to put it in a pocket on the inside of the cloak that I could button shut. I was able to button it so it wouldn't fly out on its own if I moved too much.

I walked cautiously towards the noise and decided to pick up the pace and power walk in the streets of the city. I heard someone talking in a voice that sounded way too familiar and my eyes widened because I recognized immediately what was going on. I knew I wasn't necessarily safe, but that I was also about to witness something utterly badass.

I hid behind a building and saw Titans around. I felt as if I was gonna hyperventilate, but I got ahold of myself. I stayed as calm as I possibly could by bottling all those fears inside and deciding, at the time, that this must be a dream. Yeah, and when I woke up I'd hear Wade snoring, passed out drunk on the couch and I'd be back in my jeans and T-shirt, laying on my comfy bed with my laptop possibly dead. But, before I could close my eyes and try to wake up, I heard the screams again. I ran pretty fast into the old building I was already hiding behind and due to my stupid curiosity, I decided to run up into the steeple of the building. I stood there in the window and watched part of one of my favorite episodes play out. Everything looked exactly the same except for me being there.

I turned my attention back to the screaming where I saw Levi standing on top of a titan as I heard him say "Let's take this like a man, shall we?" I watched as Levi killed the Titan, which was awesome. Until Levi glanced my way and I quickly hid behind the wall. I ran downstairs, breathing heavily from two facts. One, I got to witness Levi kill a titan as it happened. As for Two, Levi fucking Ackerman looked at me. I didn't want to pry my way into the episode still not sure if this was a dream or not. I took a deep breath and went to close my eyes to try and wake up until I heard the familiar noise of the 3D Maneuvering Gear. I was seriously hoping they were going after a titan and not coming to investigate where I was. Then again how would I survive around Titans? I was stuck in a logic loop. I ended up staying inside the building and heard someone up in the steeple. I quietly ran out of the building and into one of the alleys. I stood at the dead end and looked around. I sat behind some crates. I hoped I had hidden well enough until I heard someone walk past the alley. I let out the breath I had been holding in as I thought I was in the clear. Until the person came back and walked toward where I was. I held my breath until they finally left. I didn't know what to do.

Levi had wondered if he saw some sort of ethereal being when he killed the titan. He saw her look scared maybe even confused, but shook it off. He gave one of his men a nice speech about how he wouldn't die in vain and after that, he gave Petra a new order. "Petra, there was this girl near where I killed that pair of titans. She's hiding in the alley near there. By now she might have gone back into the building with that steeple. Investigate that area and if you find her, bring her back to HQ." With that order, Levi left a confused Petra and went to round up the rest of his squad. Petra shook it off and went to go put the orders she was given into action.
