I woke up and it was morning. I got up slowly, not recognizing where I was right away. I looked out a window and realized I was still in the AoT world. I heard the door open and turned around to see Levi standing there. I smiled a bit and Levi's lips tilted up for a quick millisecond, quick enough that I wondered if I had imagined it or if he really did smile. While I wanted to contemplate it, I knew I had stuff to do. "So, um, Captain, what all do I have to do?" I didn't want to say it like that, but it came out that way. I shrugged it off, regaining my composure like a soldier. I was still in that dress though, my cloak folded rather neatly and placed on the floor with my combat boots resting on top of that.

Actually, the room looked spotless now that I looked around and then I remembered who I was in front of.

I tried so hard not to chuckle or laugh as I thought of the Levi as Mr. Clean memes I always saw. I smiled for a minute as I listened to Levi as he cleared his throat. "Petra has some clean clothes for you. She personally asked me if you could follow her around and train with her."  My eyes widened. Train with Petra Ral? It would be even more awesome if I could train with Levi but I knew he was probably way too busy for that. So I just smiled and nodded "Thanks, Captain." I sat down on the bed and were about to lace up my boots as Levi walked out of the room, but I realized something. I yelled for the captain "Wait! Captain Levi!" He walked back and had a slightly annoyed look on his face. I needed to know where Petra was, but I had other questions too. "Is there any reason I'm being trained? And where do I meet Petra, exactly?" He rolled his eyes and made his signature "Tch." noise. "She'll be near the stables. As for your training, it was decided that if you wanted to train with us to be a scout, you could, due to your... special circumstances." He looked me up and down and I suddenly was very self-conscious about how I looked.

I tugged at the frayed ends of my dress until he continued. "Obviously, you don't have to do any training, but with your amnesia, we think it's best to keep you around until we can find your family." I sighed. "what?" "Well, one thank you for this opportunity. I'd love to train with you guys, but I'm not completely amnesia stricken." Levi raised an eyebrow on an otherwise emotionless face. I continued, "My family isn't from around here. I don't know how I got here, but I do know my family isn't around. It's weird I know." Levi shrugged as if he got it but also didn't really care. He probably had better things to do than be chatting with me about my issues. And with that, he walked away again, and surprisingly I wasn't bothered by his attitude. I figured since I watched the anime so much, that I was used to it. I just shrugged it off and laced up my combat boots loosely, since I figured I'd be putting on other clothes soon. I picked up my cloak and put it on 'cause even though it wasn't normally my style, it grew on me.

I got out my phone and saw a few texts from Seth, a few texts from (Y/f/n), and a missed call from Mom with a voicemail. I figured it wasn't really important at the moment and slipped my phone back into the cloak's pocket and buttoned it shut. I would listen to it later and with that, I walked around some halls. I eventually realized that I didn't really know how to get down to the stables. I felt kinda stupid for not asking Levi to give me some directions. I saw a bright light coming from underneath a door I was approaching. As I was about to open it, the door flew open and hit me in the face. A classic cartoon moment indeed, but instead of it being where I fell backward and the person just walked off, not knowing I was there, I was almost instantly caught by someone and heard a familiar voice closer to the doorway, apologizing. I knew Hange's voice well with its crazy yet nice tone, but I didn't know who had caught me. I looked up real quick and saw Levi looking down on me, which was funny because I'm a bit taller than him.

I wanted to laugh at the irony but cleared my throat and stood up. "Uh, Thanks, Captain..." I kinda trailed off with my sentence. I felt awkward with a light blush covering my cheeks. I looked to Hange and she looked so upset about hitting me with a fucking door. "I'm so so SO sorry! When I get really excited to start experimenting or do something else, I just-" I smiled and giggled, "I don't mean to cut you off, but it's fine. People get excited and do careless things sometimes." I shrugged it off, rubbed my face, and turned back to Levi when I heard him ask if I was all right. I nodded, "My nose hurts but it's nothing to cry over." I looked at Hange who looked guilty yet happy that she didn't break my nose. "You're sure you're fine?!" I opened my mouth to say yeah but Hange was up in my face examining my nose. My eyes widened and I looked from Levi to back at Hange who was fixed on staring at my nose. She started poking my nose. "Hange. She's fine." "S-seriously Hange, I'm fine. I swear."

I laughed rather awkwardly because I was amused at what she was doing, but I was still embarrassed. I started to make my way to the door slowly as she kept examining my face. I started to scoot back to the doorway. "Um, it was nice to meet you Hange. Thanks again, Captain. Now if you excuse me, I have to go..." I quickly ran out of the doorway and walked towards where I saw the stables. I saw Petra stroking a horse's mane and chuckled from thinking about Jean. I walked up to Petra with a smile on my face. She looked at me and patted the horse's head. "Hey (Y/n), I guess Levi woke you?" All I could think was how she seemed so nice and realized that where I was, episodes-wise. I knew that most of Squad Levi was going to die soon. It was a while away but it still made me sad. "No, I woke up by myself. He told me you wanted to train me?" Petra smiled. "Yeah, we'll get to that, but right now? Right now we're gonna get you a uniform. Without the jacket though 'cause you're not really a cadet or part of the Scouts yet, so... Let's go!" She started pushing me back toward the building I just came out of while I was still processing what she just said. 'Yet?' I decided to not contemplate it any longer and started walking.

I walked with Petra to what I assumed was her room. She told me to close my eyes and I did. While I heard Petra shuffling around, I felt as if Petra was like the big sister I never had. I also felt that I should try to warn her about her death when it was closer to time. Some things I knew I kinda wanted to change, or at least try. Mainly characters I liked, but I figured I would wait to see if I could do anything in the first place. Finally, Petra told me to open my eyes. I had a big smile on my face and even though I didn't get a jacket with a cool insignia on it, I knew I'd look badass.

I instantly took the folded clothes and Petra stepped outside of the room to let me change. I also spotted some other boots and looked down at my cute combat boots and knew I wouldn't be allowed to have them unless I was allowed to wear casual clothes some days. I got changed and put the new boots on and pulled my (h/c) hair into a ponytail. I took a deep breath and walked out to see Petra talking to Gunther. When Gunther saw me, he looked surprised to see how well I looked in uniform. When Petra turned around, she looked proud. She was definitely going to be like a big sister. Finally, she smiled and linked arms with me and walked down the hall in a happy way and I just laughed as I walked with her, back out to the stables.
