Chapter 8

I finally arrived at the capital with Levi and Erwin, where we were all led by an MP to the dungeon where Eren was being held. I walked into the room where Eren's cell was at. I trailed right behind Levi who entered first. There was a coat rack near the door, I took off Levi's cloak to hang, but Levi decided to be a gentleman and took it from me to do it himself while Erwin did the same but with his own cloak. Eren was asleep and there was a singular chair to which Levi and I both let Erwin sit on. It was just like the episode, except for me being here. This simple fact made me smile. "I'm a part of it this time," I said that aloud on accident and Levi looked at me from where he was leaning on the wall. I decided to sit on the floor with my back against the wall, Levi still asked me his question though. 

"So I guess you saw this exactly the way it is, but this time you're in it?" I looked up at him and smiled. "Yeah, exactly. You sure you're not the psychic one here?" Levi did his "Tch" noise and smirked "Very funny, but we've already established that the psycho is you." I smiled and rolled my eyes. After I realized what he said, I fake pouted and said: "I'm a psychic, not a psycho..." Levi chuckled.

Wait he chuckled?

Anyway, finally, a noise came from inside the cell and Erwin scolded us by saying and I quote, "to not flirt in front of the prisoner and stay professional." I laughed awkwardly, blushed, and then apologized. Levi, on the other hand, was smirking. I smiled and sat there quietly as Eren finally woke up. I kinda just observed Eren's face, which I could tell he was amazed that his heroes were in front of him. He was scared, I smiled sympathetically. When Levi and Erwin gave their introductions, I didn't say anything, I went into my own little world, just kinda staring at the floor. That was until Levi flicked me in the back of the head. I looked up and glared "What?! I was thinking." He looked down at me and that made me feel small. Ironic. "Tch, obviously. Introduce yourself to the brat." I looked confused and then remembered that Eren was there. I facepalmed. "Sorry," I stood up, "I'm (L/n), (Y/n) (L/n)." I smiled at him sweetly to make him feel more comfortable.

"I'm in your class, except I'm being trained by the Survey Corps themselves. I'm just here to watch the big guys do their work." I stepped towards the cell, grabbed a bar, and got down to his eye level. I looked him in the eyes and gave him a sympathetic smile. He flinched and backed up a bit. "We're not gonna hurt you Eren, we just want to ask you a few questions, you know, get a better feel or understanding of how you did, what you did. Just take it like a normal conversation, 'Kay?" My words seemed to relax him a bit and this made me feel better about him being scared.

I stood up completely and walked back to my space beside Levi, leaning on the wall. I observed as Levi and Erwin asked Eren questions. As time passed I saw that Eren was a little more relaxed. Yeah, he was still acting rather guarded, but he looked better. I started feeling tired, but I knew I had to stay awake. I decided to be an observant person once again and watch what Levi was doing. I watched Levi's face for any emotion at all, but it was just a plain poker face. He seemed to think that this 'interrogation' was a waste of his time, at least that's what his face seemed to say. He looked slightly bored as well. My inner fangirl then kicked in. I just kept staring at him, soon I went back into my own little world for about the fifth time today. It was just one of those days for spacing out. I thought about this as well as many other things in my world. That was until I felt someone grab my wrist very roughly and drag me out of the room, "Hey, snap out of it." Levi caught me staring and spacing out. "Sorry Captain, I spaced out, I promise, it won't happen again." Levi did his "...Tch" noise and I looked down at my feet, feeling embarrassed and stupid from the fact that he probably wondered why I was staring at him like a creep. "Something tells me you won't be able to keep that promise." I chuckled, "Yeah... I really am sorry, I just have a lot on my mind sometimes and I just kind of stare at the last place I was looking and I go into deep thought." Levi looked down at his feet as well, it was kind of awkward, and definitely not something I thought Levi would do. The silence was awkward and I didn't know what to say to break it.
