I woke up a few hours after taking my nap and found my room to be much cleaner. I chuckled and got up out of bed. I looked out the window and saw some scouts still cleaning outside as well as the newest of the scouts arriving. I fixed my bedhead, sat back down on my bed, and checked my phone. I decided to call Seth back. Aaaand after the fifty-five voicemails, he's left me, he didn't answer when I called him. Well, that's lovely. 'Oh well, I'm too hungry to talk anyway.' I quickly hid my phone. I walked into the hallway and just with my luck, I got run into by Levi who seemed to be pacing outside my room. Why I had no idea, but he was. "Owww... That's a helluva way to greet someone who just woke up after being sick Levi." Levi's eyes widened a little and then went back to the worried expression that he had before. "Sorry. I didn't mean to hurt you." I laughed, "It's okay. Oh, by the way, I wanna thank you for sending Petra to check on me earlier, even though she kinda body-slammed me when she jumped onto my bed..." Levi facepalmed and I laughed as he regained his composure. "Petra told me you wanted to thank me, but she didn't tell me that she woke you up." I laughed, "She didn't wake me up, I was already awake. Eren kinda accidentally woke me up, but it was fine cause I got to talk to him a little bit. I fell right back to sleep after Petra left anyway." Levi looked slightly annoyed and took a deep breath, "I'll talk to that brat later, but for now, do you feel able enough to eat dinner with um, my squad and I." I blushed slightly, but then I chuckled, "Yes, I would love to join you and your squad for dinner, but afterward I'd like to talk to you." "Okay, but dinner first."

I got to the cafeteria/Dining room area and everyone was already there, including Eren. I just sat there very quietly trying to figure out how to break the news to Levi about what will happen soon. I snapped out of it when Eld started talking about the mission in a month, and I stayed quiet. I just froze. I knew that there were a lot of casualties in the coming mission and I really was hoping that the conversation at the table would be different with me here, but I was wrong. "Mission planning isn't my responsibility, but it is Erwin's, and you can bet that the man is obsessed with every angle." Eld then talked about how unique the situation is and I just quietly sighed. I didn't want any of the people at this table to die. I then vowed that I would try my best to keep them alive. When I snapped back to reality, everyone was staring at Eren and he seemed scared, this is where I had to step in. We needed him at his best and we weren't really helping him learn to trust us or boosting his morale at all. "Don't worry Eren. I'm sure you'll try your best and you won't lose control. You're our biggest hope right now and I'm sure you won't let us down." My pep talk wasn't entirely true, but hey a little morale can go a long way. Eld then asked about how it works and as soon as Levi said "Not that 'you-know-who' won't have a go at it. You'd be lucky to come out alive if that one lays into you. 'Course it's only a matter of time." I knew Hange was coming and I got a big smile on my face and chuckled as Eren proceeded to ask about who Levi was talking about. When Hange ran into the door I couldn't help but laugh. I got a hold of myself as Petra opened the door for her though. I almost lost it again though whenever Hange said she couldn't help but intrude. I held in my laughs as Eren kept asking Hange questions. My face was probably bright red while Levi escorted me out.

When we finally got a little way down the hall I let out a little bit of my laughter and I was fine afterward. I looked up and Levi seemed very serious, "You had something you wanted to talk to me about?" That's when I got serious. "Uh yeah, I kinda wanted to talk in private. It's something I think only you should hear for now." Levi looked confused, "Okay..." I sighed and took all my courage and grabbed his hand and dragged him upstairs to my room. I shut the door behind me and I slid down the door and sat on the floor. I sighed and looked at Levi and ran my hand through my hair, ruffing it up a bit to help me think. Levi was sitting on my bed and seemed stiff, not like the normal careless and relaxed vibe he gave off when he would sit on my bed. I took a deep breath and stood up. "Levi... I don't really know how to explain this to you..." He for some reason relaxed a little and sighed, "Is this about those rumors about us... or is it about something else?" I blinked a little and I probably had a look of disbelief on my face. I honestly didn't know how to respond to that. I took another deep breath and just calmly said, "It's about something else, but I would like to discuss that too... But at another time? I don't know. Just listen to me Levi-" Levi chuckled, "I have been for the past twenty minutes." I facepalmed but cracked a smile. "Yeah yeah... Smartass. Anyway, You know how I'm sort of psychic? Well, I know what's going to happen during the mission in a month. I really think you should talk to Erwin about this. Like seriously, there's going to be a lot of casualties... and there's going to be quite a few Special Ops casualties..." Levi's expression went totally stone cold. I continued on, "I didn't want to say it in front of the others and freak them out. I just don't want to see the people I've grown to care for so much die when we could change our strategy and save a lot more lives." I told Levi about how most of his squad would die at the hands of a titan while trying to protect Eren. Levi kept telling me how he didn't want to believe me, but in the end, he decided he would tell Erwin about my 'dream' that I had so he could factor in the possibility of a female titan and how fast and strong she was.

I was so stressed after telling Levi everything I knew about what would happen during the mission. I even told him about his ankle. "I don't care what happens to me, I just want-" I cut him off, "Levi, you may not care about yourself, but I do, so don't you ever say anything like that around me because I will end up giving you a lecture every time." It got really quiet after I said that. I walked over and sat down on the bed with Levi. I looked him straight in the eyes and said, "Captain, I told you that night on the rooftop that I was here for you whenever you needed me to listen or just needed me in general. I wasn't lying or 'just trying to be nice'. I actually do care for you, Levi." I took a deep breath and hugged him. I could hear a tiny gasp come out of Levi's mouth, but it was really quiet. He finally hugged back and I could've sworn I heard him whisper, "I care about you too." He let go and walked to the door and before he left he stopped in the doorway and smirked at me, "You should get some sleep." I smiled, rolled my eyes, chuckled, saluted with my fist over my heart, and simply said "Yes sir." Levi chuckled and walked out as I turned my oil lamp out and went to bed.

Levi's P.O.V.:

When she led me upstairs to her room I honestly thought the main topic of conversation was going to be about the rumors about us. I was scared because honestly, I haven't really talked about my feelings or emotions with really anyone until (Y/n) came along. I hated what that brat had done to me. Every time I get close to someone, something ends up happening to them. I don't want to see that happen to (Y/n). As I walked down the hall to my room I sighed, "Maybe Petra was right." The fact that Petra could tell when I have feelings for someone before I could was really annoying. I walked into my room and worked on a few papers before Petra walked in. "So, what were you doing in (Y/n)'s room? Hmm??" I rolled my eyes, "we talked, that's it." Petra raised an eyebrow. I groaned and threw the pen I was using down, "You were right. I do have feelings for her." Petra smirked but then got a serious expression on her face as I rubbed my temples, "I know what you're thinking and you better not do it," then she walked out. I was honestly surprised that she didn't taunt me about how she was right, but I was glad that she didn't, I was too tired to deal with that bullshit. I hated to make this decision, but I was going to stay away from (Y/n) as much as possible. I didn't need her getting hurt or killed. As soon as Petra left I finished some more papers and fell asleep at my desk.

Your P.O.V.:

I woke up at like four in the morning because I had a nagging feeling about something. Of course, it was right and when I checked my phone Seth was calling. I groaned and accepted, "Hello?" Seth instantly started apologizing for what he said on the phone before and begging me to come home. "Seth, I don't know if I want to come home! Look, I'm sorry for yelling, but I honestly think that we need to go our separate ways here. You keep getting mad at me for doing things that make me happy and honestly, I don't think I want to be in a relationship like that." I stared at the promise ring that he gave me on the bedside table (where I put it when we moved here) and I sighed. "Seth, we're done okay?" He didn't say anything and as soon as I hung up, the promise ring disappeared. "Okay, where did the ring go? Fuck." I got up from my bed and decided to take a walk in the hallway. When I went past Levi's room I saw his light was still on. I walked in as I decided to check on him. I looked around his room and everything was spotless. I chuckled and shook my head until I saw Levi slumped over his desk. My eyes widened and I walked carefully over to him, "Captain Levi?" I got closer and I saw he was still breathing so I could stop assuming the worst. I gently shook him, "Levi. Wake up, Captain!" He groaned and sat up slowly "What do you want?" I rolled my eyes as he stood up and stretched. "I was walking around since I couldn't sleep and I saw your light was on, soooo..." I sighed, "I'll just uh go now." I started to walk out until Levi said something, but I figured it was my imagination until I heard, "Wait! Please?" I sighed and turned around and Levi slightly smiled at me, "Thank you... for caring." I blushed a little and smiled back and walked out into the hall. I walked back to my room and saw Levi's light go out and I chuckled a bit. I crawled into bed and stared at the ceiling until I fell asleep.
