15- Kidnapped

Jordan's POV
Jacob and I arrived at Atlantis yesterday. We're at the beach rn
" let's go in the water!" Jacob said getting up and running into the waves

I laughed and ran after him. My stomach hit the freezing cold water and I screeched. Jacob dove in and burst out of the water screaming
" I got water in my eyes!"

I laughed and splashed him. We got in a full on splash war. Jacob went underwater, and I felt something grab my ankle. I was pulled into the water while laughing.

I pushed whoever was on me off of me. I got to the air and breathes heavily. I was under there for a good 20 seconds. I looked around for jacob.
" Jordan! Come on" I turned my head and Jacob was out of the water.

A hand stroked my ankle. I screamed and ran to Jacob. That wasn't jacob who grabbed my me!
" you ok?" He asked concerned
" something grabbed my ankle and pulled me underwater" I said then hugging him. I let out a breathe and pulled away

He giggled. I shoved him then ran to our stuff on the beach. ( by the way, she isn't mad😂she shoved him playfully)

I swear I felt like I was going to die. I was grasping for air. The person was so strong. The way he wrapped his arms around me holding me to the ocean ground. I kicked him. He released and I swam to the top.
" i want pizza" Jacob said licking his lips
" get me a smoothie?" I asked

" yup" he said popping the P

He walked away. By the way, our parents are at the hotel. I laid back and stared into the blue sky. I breathed out. I felt some sand brushed onto my hand. I looked up and saw a little girl standing there. I sat up.

" c-can you please help me?" She asked

" yes, what's your name" I said standing up and holding her hands

" I'm Gracie, I lost my mommy" she started crying

" shhh, we'll go find her.. Tell me if you see her" she nodded

I took out my phone and texted Jacob

Me= going to help a little girl find her mom, brb😘
Jacob☺️= k princess😉

I put my phone under my towel. We walked down the beach. She didn't see her mom.

" we aren't going to find mommy!" She cried

" it's ok, umm... Do you want some ice cream?" I asked

I'll get he some ice cream and we'll go back to get my phone and call the police. She wiped her tears and smiled.

We walked over to the ice cream stand. She got her ice cream and ate it happily.

   When she was done I threw away her trash. I felt a tap on my shoulder. A man stood there staring down at us fake smiling.

    " hey girls? I heard there is a missing child, is this her" he asked

   I don't know who he is. My face went from happy to weirded out.

    " umm, who are you?" I asked

    " I'm a life guard.." He said

   He's not wearing a bathing suit. Maybe his shift is over. I can trust him.

   " the mother is waiting across the street" he said. " I can bring her to her mother" he said. I don't want to leave Gracie alone with him. I can already tell she is scared of him. He's kind of old.

   I thought about it for a second. Then I decided I will just go with them.

    " may I come?" I asked politely

  He shrugged

    " I guess, her mother may want to meet you" he said smiling

    We walked across the street to a building. He stopped and looked down.

   " it's actually all the way down there" he pointed to a building that was way to far down the street.

    I sighed. I can't go all the way down there. My parents wouldn't allow it. And Jacob would get worried. I bent down and hugged Gracie.

   " I can't go that far, but he will be G you to mommy... " I released her from the hug

   " okay" she said quietly

   I stood up and shook the mans hand. I headed back to the beach. Jacob was laying on our blanket on his phone.

  I ran over and kicked sand onto him.

   "Hey!" He yelled

  I laughed and he got up quickly. I ran into the water but stopped myself. I remember what happened with the man that tried to drown me.

   " your so annoying" he said sarcastically pushing me into the water

   I jumped out of the water and wiped my face. I opened my eyes and Jacob was running out of the water.

   " Jacob! Wait... Let's get food" I yelled to him

  He stopped running and turned around. He smirked and I walked to him. He put his arm around me, and we picked our beach stuff up.

     (They walked in front of  Panera)

   " oooh! Let's get Panera!" I suggested.

  He licked his lips and pushed the door open. We walked in and it smelled amazing. I ordered my bagel that I get every time. I don't know why I do, but o do.

   " Gracie Thompson, a 6 year old girl has gone missing at the beach. Sources say they saw her with a middle aged man walking down the street" the news came on and that's all I heard

     Slow motion on

I dropped my bagel. And my mouth dropped. I covered my mouth.

   The man must have lied. He said that her mother was in the building that we first went to. Then he told me that it was actually a building that was way farther down the street... He must've known I couldn't go.

   " Jordan, are you ok?" Jacob asked me while picking up my bagel.

   " that was the girl. I was helping her look for her mom. " I said and a tear slid down my cheek

   This is all my fault

    Sorry I haven't updated! Like I said, school has been hard... But I'm trying to update as fast as I can! 💚tysm😇
