Connie walked around the kitchen, pen and paper in hand, as she carefully looked through each cupboard in turn.
Last was the fridge, and once she had finished in there, she closed the door and smiled at Jacob. "Ok, think I'm done"
"Finally" Jacob muttered under his breath.

Connie scanned the list one final time. "Right is there anything else you can think of that needs to be added to the list?"
Jacob was leant against the kitchen counter with his arms crossed where he had been, for the last fifteen minutes, watching Connie. "I don't know, you're the one who has been making the list for about an hour. You do realise, we could have been there and back by now"
Connie looked up and shot him a glare. "Well, instead of just watching me, you could have always helped"
"But we don't need a list"
"Yes, we do, Jacob"
"Why?"
"To make sure we get everything we need" Connie crossed her arms, matter of factly.
"Ah but I know what we need, it's in my head" Jacob tapped his head and then imitated her stance.
Connie walked out of the kitchen and called to Jacob behind her. "Precisely. What if you forget something?"
"I never forget" Jacob followed Connie out of the kitchen and to the front door where she was getting ready to leave.
Jacob quickly pulled on his jacket and put on his shoes. He tapped his foot impatiently as he waited for Connie to finish putting hers on."Can we go yet?"
Connie rolled her eyes. She finished slipping on her heels, stood up, then opened the front door and began to walk towards the car.
"Connie, house keys"
She threw the keys back to Jacob who was still stood in the doorway, so he could lock it behind him, then continued to the car and sat down in the driver's seat.
She tapped the steering wheel with her fingers as she waited for Jacob lock the door and make his way to the car.
"Now look who's holding us up" she grinned at Jacob as he climbed in the passenger seat, before she pulled off the drive.

Connie drove into the car park and pulled into a space. They both opened their doors and stepped out, meeting again at the back of the car.

They neared the shop entrance and Connie placed her hand in her coat pocket to grab the shopping list, but it was empty. She checked the other pocket, nothing.
"Typical" she muttered under her breath.
"What's that sweetcheeks?"
Connie's checks flushed slightly red. "Erm...I think, I forgot the list"
Jacob stared at her in disbelief. "You're telling me we spent all that time for you to forget it?"
"oops?" Connie let out a small laugh at the sight of Jacob's annoyed face.
"So we're going to have to go back and get it" Connie turned around, ready to head back to the car but Jacob stopped her, he placed his hands on both of her shoulders and steered her back towards the direction of the shop. "Woah no no no...we're not wasting anymore time" he grabbed her hand and pulled her gently forwards.
"Like I said, it's in my head, don't worry sweetcheeks"

They finally made it through the shop doors, selected a trolley, then entered the first isle. The pair walked around the shop together and their trolley was soon filled with groceries.
When they reached the end of the last isle, Jacob quickly steered the trolley towards the checkout. "Right that's everything, lets get out of here"

"Should I get dinner started?" Connie asked Jacob.
Jacob nodded "Sounds like a good plan"
"Pasta still ok for you?"
"Definitely! I have been looking forward to the wonderful Mrs B's delicious pasta all day"
"Watch it you" connie returned his comments with a sarcastic smile as she stood up from the chair and walked to the kitchen.

"JACOB"
Jacob could tell by the tone of her voice that she wasn't happy about something. He rolled his eyes and reluctantly got up and made his way to the kitchen.
Connie was waiting for him, her arms crossed and tongue pushed in her cheek.
"Pasta"
Jacob stared at her blankly. "Pasta?"
"You forgot the pasta."
"Ah..."
"Mr 'we don't need a list' 'I never forget'?" Connie gave him a smug look. "And that Jacob, is why we do need a list"
Jacob held his hands up in mock surrender. "Ok I admit, you were right"
"Right, you have 10 minutes" connie put her hands on her hips.
"For what?" Jacob gave her a bewildered look.
"To go and buy the pasta. Or are you expecting me to make it from scratch?"
Jacob laughed in amusement, until he realised that she was being serious. "You're kidding right? Let's just have something else"
"Ah, but how can I possibly deprive you of my 'delicious pasta'? I mean you have been looking forward to it all day..." Connie smirked.
