This is a bit of an unrealistic one, but oh well😂

"We should get a puppy" Connie announced.
Jacob raised his eyebrows and turned to face Connie, who was sat beside him on the living room floor, where cardboard boxes filled with their belongings surrounded them.
They had just moved into their new home together, a small detached house, in a quiet neighbourhood not too far from the hospital. The rooms still stood bare as they waited on the last of their large furniture to arrive, the boxes still waiting to be unpacked.

"No way." Jacob laughed.
Connie gave him a questioning look. "But why not?"
"I just don't want a dog." Jacob frowned.
Connie gave him a disappointed look. "Aw pleeeease Jayy."
"I don't like dogs." Jacob said plainly, trying to ignore the sad look in Connie's eyes.
Connie leant her head against his arm and gave him a smile. "But...they're so cute! I can just imagine a little puppy running around...we can sit and cuddle it on the sofa on an evening..."
Jacob chuckled and shook his head. "Why would we want an animal running about downstairs? And I have you to cuddle, I don't need a dog."
Connie rolled her eyes. What was wrong with this man? How could he not want a puppy?
"It would make me sooo happy." Connie tried.
Jacob looked at her pleading face, looking so innocent. He sighed, Connie was always going to win this in the end, she wasn't going to give in easily.
"Right, what dog are we getting then?" He asked with a smirk.
A big smile formed on Connie's face and she immediately leaned in to kiss him.
"Thank you! This is so exciting!" She smiled after pulling away.
Jacob loved to see her so happy, and if a dog was going to that, a dog they would get.

A few weeks passed, until it was finally the day they were allowed to bring their new puppy home.
Jacob sat on the sofa, watching as Connie sat on the floor playing with their new Labrador retriever puppy. He rolled his eyes as Connie rolled on the floor and let the dog climb over her, it's little tongue trying to lick Connie's face.
"Do not let that thing lick you." Jacob frowned.
Connie ignored him and continued to focus her attention on the excited little puppy. "Is daddy being silly?" She giggled.
Connie picked up the puppy and held her close to her face. "You're so cute my little Coco."
"Coco??!" Jacob asked. "She is NOT called Coco."
Connie rolled her eyes. "Oh yes you are." She whispered to the dog.
Jacob exhaled deeply and shook his head. He really was not a fan of dogs, he just didn't understand what was so cute about them.
"Do you want to let her any nearer to your face Connie?" He asked sarcastically.
Connie smiled "kisses for mummy." She cooed at the puppy and began to bring her closer to her face.
Jacob's eyes widened when he saw what she was doing. "Woah. You are not letting that thing kiss you." He announced as he leant froward on the edge of his seat.
"Why not?" Connie asked innocently.
"I am not kissing your lips after that dog has touched them." He stated.
A smirk creeped onto Connie's face and she turned back to the puppy in her hands, letting Coco lick her face before planting a little kiss near her nose.
Jacob stood up, shaking his head in disbelief. He couldn't believe that he had agreed to this.
Connie replaced Coco onto the floor and rose from her crouched position.
"Jacob." She smiled as she followed him out of the room.
"What?" Jacob asked bluntly, without turning around.
"Come here" Connie grinned.
Jacob continued into the kitchen and stopped as he leant against the worktop and crossed his arms. "I'm not coming near you after that little-." He began, until he was interrupted by Connie leaning in to kiss him.
"No" he pleaded as he pushed her away and walked away.
"Come here Jacob." Connie teased.
Jacob didn't stop, so Connie jumped onto Jacob's back and clung to his body.
Jacob chuckled as he tried to prise her hands away from him, and desperately attempted to get her off, only to cause the pair to fall onto the kitchen floor laughing.
Connie climbed onto Jacob, lying on his back, and sat on his abdomen.
"Give me a kiss." She smiled as she leaned in close to his face.
Jacob moved his head to the side, but Connie cupped his face in her hands and tipped it back to face her, before placing her lips against his.
"Wasn't so bad, was it?" She smirked as she pulled away.
Jacob wiped his lips with the back of his hand and pulled a disgusted face.
Connie giggled and leaned in to replace her lips on his, but before their lips had the chance to meet, a set of paws climbed onto Jacob's face, causing him to scream in alarm. Connie sat up, unable to contain her laughter, and watched Coco run around Jacob's head, excitedly licking at his face.
"Connie please get her away." Jacob laughed as he struggled to get up while keeping the puppy away from his face.
Connie gently picked her up in her arms and held her close to allow Jacob to sit up and wipe at his face.
"This was such a good idea." Connie smiled.
"This was such a bad idea." Jacob muttered as he plastered a sarcastic smile on his face.
